Address

Dear Sir or Madam:

I am enclosing the article entitled........ for your detailed opinion. It has been submitted for publication in the Pulsional Revista de Psicanálise.

Your comments should be presented on the attached form and returned withinfour weeks. If this timeframe is not possible, we would ask that you return the material immediately.

Even if you decide not to use the form provided, each of the questions on it should nevertheless be explicitly treated in your comments.

Taking into account the great number of articles received by for the Revista Pulsional de Psicanálise, and its constant insistence on a high standard of excellence, I would ask that opinions regarding articles be as strict as possible. I would also ask that you pay special attention to the pertinence of the articles submitted. Revista Pulsional is particularly interested in texts based on the clinical method or directly derived from clinical experiences. It therefore has great interest in publishing articles on research in clinical work. In contrast, it is not interested in articles related to works of fiction or critiques of films. Articles on social or cultural issues, or topics related to civilization and contemporary life, are considered important when they are likely to have clear repercussions for clinical work and mental health. The Revista also gives great importance to material dealing with the interfaces between psychoanalysis and other areas of knowledge, as long as such can be considered a clear contribution to the clinic and to mental health. Except in special cases, bibliographic reviews or promotional information are not of interest. Badly written articles will refused, since there is, in psychoanalysis, a tradition of well-styled and clear writing, an aspect that should continue to be cultivated.

If for some reason you are unable to prepare an opinion, we would appreciate receiving suggestions as to the name and address of some other ad hoc evaluator for this article.

The Pulsional Revista de Psicanálise keeps the identity of its consultants in strict confidence.

Thank you in advance for your valuable contribution.

Prof. Manoel Tosta Berlinck, Ph.D.
