About the Journal


Scope
Revista da Sociedade Brasileira de Psicologia Hospitalar (Revista da SBPH) is the scientific publication of the Sociedade Brasileira de Psicologia Hospital (Brazilian Society of Hospital Psychology) and has the mission of publishing original and unpublished articles that promote knowledge and contribute to the scientific development of the area of ​​health and hospital psychology.
Aimed at researchers, professors, students and professionals in psychology, the Revista da SBPH publishes original research articles, critical and systematic review of scientific literature, reports of quantitative or qualitative research and reports of professional experience, in Portuguese, English, Spanish and French. The journal does not publish texts translated from other journals.
The authors of the articles are entirely responsible for their content, and the opinions and judgments contained therein do not necessarily express the positions of the publication's Editorial Board.
The Revista da SBPH does not charge any type of fee from authors, at any stage of the submission, evaluation or editorial production process.
The publication follows the “Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association” (APA) – 7th edition (2020).

Open access
The Revista da SBPH offers open access to its articles without any charging, which is configured in the Diamond open access modality, according the state of the art of scientific communication.

Copyright and license
The copyright of the published articles is owned by the Sociedade Brasileira de Psicologia Hospital.
The publication adopts the CreativeCommons “Attribution 4.0 International” license – CC BY, which allows “copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format for any purpose, even commercially.” Also, according to the CC BY license, authors must “give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made.” These changes must be indicated without suggesting that the journal supports their use. By submitting articles for publication in the Revista da SBPH, authors agree to transfer copyright for the publication and accept the terms of the adopted license, making due reference to the original publication in the journal.
Authors also agree to the publication's commitment to offering open access to all its content.

Ethics in scientific communication
The Revista da SBPH adopts the ethical principles and guidelines for good editorial practices in scientific communication recommended by the Committee on Publications Ethics (COPE), in “Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing”. The entire editorial process of the Revista da SBPH, from the first evaluation of a manuscript to its eventual publication, is guided by these principles and guidelines.
The publication is also part of the list of scientific publications in the health field that adhere to the "Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals", by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE): https://www.icmje.org/journals-following-the-icmje-recommendations/#R.

At the end of the article, before the references, authors must credit each of the authors in the construction of the article, according to the model:
Study design: ABC, CBA; data collection: ABC; data analysis: ABC, CBA; manuscript writing: ABC, CBA; critical revision for intellectual content: ABC, CBA.

Types of articles
Original research articles: research based on empirical data, with structured writing: introduction (objective), methodology, results, discussion, conclusions and references.
Critical and systematic literature review articles: critical investigation of scientific literature, presenting the state of the art of scientific knowledge on a given topic.
Quantitative or qualitative research reports: analysis of quantitative or qualitative methodologies, with possible presentation of new methodological approaches or changes in existing methodologies.
Professional experience reports: presentation of professional experience, with theoretical reflection and structured writing: introduction with identification of the case or cases; method used in conducting the case or cases; clinical discussion; theoretical reflection.

Archiving
The PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) provides free preservation services for any OJS journal that meets a basic set of criteria. The PKP PN plugin for OJS 3 is under development and will be available in the plugin gallery soon.
