The father figures, a collective matter

Segundo Freud, a existência de figuras paternas em um grupo humano é contingente e depende das dinâmicas coletivas prevalentes. Uma recapitulação sucinta das três dinâmicas paradigmáticas segundo Freud - horda, matriarcado, grupo fraternal - permite concluir que a invenção dos pais no seio dessas dinâmicas advém mais propriamente da lógica fálica que do reconhecimento da alteridade dos sexos. Assim, a autoridade dos pais depende de uma regressão infantil, e tornar-se adulto psíquico implica separar-se disso.

According to Freud, existence of the father figures in a human group is contingent and depends on the prevailing collective dynamics. A brief recall of the three paradigmatic dynamics according to Freud - herd, matriarchy, fraternal group - allows us to conclude that the invention of the fathers amidst these dynamics derives rather from the phallic logic than from the recognition of the alterity of sexes. Thus, the authority of the parents depends on an infantile regression, and becoming psychically adult implies separating oneself from that.

Preliminary interviews: milestones in the psychoanalytical treatment

O presente estudo discorre sobre os pontos principais das entrevistas preliminares, chamadas por Freud, em seu conjunto, de “tratamento de ensaio”. Procura marcar os pontos fundamentais quanto às entrevistas preliminares nas suas funções de detectar os sintomas, fazer o diagnóstico e trabalhar a transferência.

The present study describes some aspects of the preliminary interviews, named by Freud, in the whole, “proof treatment”. We try to mark the main points regarding these interviews in its functions of detecting symptoms, detect the diagnosis and work on the transference.

The instinctual chaos

O trabalho tem por objetivo refletir sobre o caos pulsional, momento mítico da origem do aparelho psíquico. Dentro dessa perspectiva, os autores trabalham inicialmente o conceito de “disperso pulsional”, descrito por Freud no Projeto. Passam, então, à investigação do fenômeno da dor, bem como dos conceitos de Drang - um dos quatro termos da pulsão - de pulsão de morte, de angústia e suas possíveis relações com o caos pulsional.

This paper aims at reflecting upon the Chaotic Impulse, the mythical moment of origin of the psyche. Within this scope the authors work initially the concept of “disperse impulse” described by Freud in Project. Afterwards the investigation of the phenomenon of pain is taken on as well as the concepts of Drang - one of the four terms of impulse - death wish, anguish and their possible relations with the Chaotic Impulse.

From image to writing: considerations about a hans fantasy

O texto propõe analisar as diversas interpretações da fantasia das duas girafas presente no caso do pequeno Hans. Partindo do método de decifração proposto por Freud para as formações do inconsciente e considerando dois momentos da leitura de Lacan dessa fantasia, procuramos levantar o véu que as imagens das giraffes figuram e ler nessa fantasia a escrita de um nome.

The text aims to analyze the various interpretations of the phantasy of two giraffes present in the case of little Hans . Based on the decoding method proposed by Freud to the formations of the unconscious and considering two moments of Lacan´s reading of this fantasy, we try to lift the veil that images of girafes and read in this fantasy a writing name.

The contemporary subject, the virtual world and psychoanalysis

Tomando o mundo virtual como uma janela ou vitrine para evidenciar as transformações no modus vivendi do sujeito contemporâneo, a autora aborda, à luz da psicanálise, as novas formas de mal-estar desse sujeito, tendo como pano de fundo as mudanças relativas à temporalidade, à espacialidade, ao pensamento e à linguagem. E traz a necessidade de se fazer uma releitura da clínica psicanalítica através dos conceitos da pulsão de morte, do trauma e da angústia.

In considering the virtual world as a window or show case in which transformations of the contemporary subject’s “modus Vivendi” can be witnessed, the author approaches the subject’s new forms of discontent from a psychoanalytic point of view, having, as a back drop, changes relative to temporality, spatiality, thinking and language. The author emphasizes the importance of rereading psychoanalytic clinical work through the lenses of the concepts of the death drive, trauma and anxiety.

Contemporary depression and freudian metapsychology: thinking the neurosis nowadays

O artigo aborda um tipo de depressão neurótica, distinta da melancolia, que desponta na clínica psicanalítica atual, definindo sua especificidade metapsicológica a partir do pressuposto de que há, na subjetividade contemporânea, uma relação de extrema fugacidade com o ideal do eu. Nessa depressão o recalcado, encontrando dificuldades de substituição ancorada no ideal, se faz representar por ideias fixas de desvalia, insucesso, autoinsuficiência narcísica, muito mais do que em representantes que se apoiam num ideal do eu rígido que favorece deslocamentos capazes de promover a trilha da metonímia desejante.

The article approaches a type of neurotic depression, distinct from melancholy, that emerges in the current psychoanalytic clinic, defining its metapsychological specificity from the presupposition that there is, in contemporary subjectivity, a relation of extreme fleetingness with the ego ideal. In such a depression, the repressed, finding replacement difficulties anchored in the ideal, represents itself by fixed ideas of worthlessness, unsuccess, narcissistic auto insufficiency, much more than in representatives that are supported by a rigid ego ideal that favors displacements capable of promoting the trail of desiring metonymy.

Anorexia and adolescence: an articulation in the light of psychoanalysis

A anorexia mental acomete, em sua expressiva maioria, adolescentes do sexo feminino, que chegam a corresponder à quase totalidade dos casos dessa manifestação. Em face de tal predominância, objetiva-se, neste trabalho, pensar a articulação entre anorexia e adolescência à luz da psicanálise, cujo aporte nos possibilita aprimorar a escuta a esses sujeitos que, através de seu sintoma anoréxico, manifestam na clínica uma tentativa de formular algo sobre o feminino, sua angústia e seu posicionamento diante do Outro.

The mental anorexia affects, in its expressive majority, female adolescents who correspond to almost all cases of this manifestation. Considering such predominance, the aim of this work is to think about the relationship between anorexia and adolescence under the light of psychoanalysis, whose contribution allows us to improve the listening to these subjects who, through their anorexic symptom, manifest in the clinic an attempt to formulate something about the feminine, their distress and their positioning towards the Other.

A psychoanalytical on autonomy to die

Embasado nos textos de Freud O mal-estar na civilização (1929-1930) e Além do princípio de prazer (1920), este artigo trata da autonomia do indivíduo para decidir sobre sua própria vida e sua própria morte, como um processo de construção da pessoalidade. Foi realizado um estudo bibliográfico de natureza descritiva e explicativa, abordando a questão da autonomia para morrer, que se relaciona com a possibilidade de o homem lidar com a sua própria fragilidade e finitude.

Based upon Freud's texts called Civilization and its discontents (1929-1930) and Beyond the Pleasure Principle (1920), this article deals with the individual autonomy to decide about life and death, as a personality building process. A bibliographic study with descriptive and explanatory nature was conducted, addressing the issue of the autonomy to die, which is related to the possibility of human beings deal with their own fragility and finiteness.

The eye, the look and the evil-eye

Este texto pretende apresentar uma visão geral das principais proposições de Lacan, especialmente no seu seminário de 1964, a distinção entre a função do olho e a do olhar, e nesta, a ênfase dada por ele à sua função paralisante e mortal; passando, então, ao poder do mau-olhado e a seus antídotos, presentes em todas as culturas. Trata ainda das tentativas de proteção contra o mau-olhado.

This paper discusses an overview of the main propositions of Lacan, especially in his seminar 1964, on the scopic drive, in which he emphasizes on the distinction between the function of the eye and what it conveys through the look. A look that brings a mortal and paralyzing function, which in turn, breeds the power of the evil eye and their antidotes. Look and evil-eye which seem to be present in all cultures.

Rites of passage: the place of adolescence in tembe tenetehara and kaxuyana indigenous societies

A puberdade representa uma experiência de rupturas e transformações, que pode causar conflitos. Nas sociedades indígenas Tembé e Kaxuyana nos Estados do Pará e Amapá, a chegada da puberdade é marcada por ritos de passagem que introduzem a criança no mundo adulto, sem a inserção na adolescência como definido na cultura ocidental do não índio. Os impasses parecem decorrer do choque entre seus códigos simbólicos com os do não índio. O texto propõe uma leitura sobre a puberdade dentro de uma perspectiva psicanalítica.

The puberty is an experience about disruptions and transformations, which can cause conflictis. Among Tembé and Kauyana indigenous societies in the states of Pará and Amapa, the arrival of puberty is marked by rits of passage that introduce the child in the adult world, without the inclusion in adolescense as defined in western culture of non-indian. Deadloks appear during the clash between their symbolic codes with the non-indian. The text proposes a reflection on puberty within a psychoanalitc perspective.

The skin ego: some contributions from didier anzieu for the psychoanalysis clinic

Este trabalho configura-se como uma resenha crítica da obra de Didier Anzieu intitulada O Eu-pele (1985). Destacamos aqui algumas contribuições do autor para uma reflexão sobre a clínica da psicanálise, especialmente a partir de casos que remontam a problemas, abalos, insuficiências nos limites do Eu. Sublinhamos a ideia de “Eu-pele”, de Didier Anzieu, sobre a formação do Eu e suas relações com o órgão que cobre nosso corpo orgânico: a pele.

This work presents a critical review of Didier Anzieu’s work entitled “The Skin-Ego” (1985). We emphasize some contributions of Didier Anzieu for thinking about psychoanalytic clinic mainly through cases that deal with problems, shocks and/or insufficiencies on the limits of the Ego. We emphasized the idea of the Didier Anzieu’s “Skin-Ego” about the Ego organization and its relations with the organ the recover our body: the skin.
