Patterns of intersubjectivity in the constitution of subjectivity: dimensions of otherness

Este artigo apresenta uma nova caracterização do conceito e da experiência da intersubjetividade a partir de quatro matrizes que consideramos como figuras organizadoras e elucidativas de diferentes dimensões da alteridade. As quatro matrizes são apresentadas a partir de referências centrais a seus patronos na filosofia, na psicologia e na psicanálise: 1- intersubjetividade trans-subjetiva (Scheler, Heidegger, Merleau-Ponty); 2- intersubjetividade traumática (Lévinas); 3- intersubjetividade interpessoal (G. H. Mead); "intersubjetividade" intrapsíquica (Freud, Klein, Fairbairn, Winnicott). Entende-se que as matrizes intersubjetivas indicam dimensões de alteridade que nunca ocupam de forma pura e exclusiva o campo das experiências humanas. As quatro matrizes propostas precisam ser concebidas como elementos simultâneos nos diferentes processos de constituição e elaboração subjetivas.

This article presents a new characterization of the concept and experience of intersubjectivity based on four matrices that we see as organizing and elucidating forms of different dimensions of otherness. The four matrices are described through key references to their proponents in the fields of philosophy, psychology and psychoanalysis: (1) trans-subjective intersubjectivity (Scheler, Heidegger, Merleau-Ponty); (2) traumatic intersubjectivity (Levinas); (3) interpersonal intersubjectivity (Mead); and (4) intrapsychic intersubjectivity (Freud, Klein, Fairbairn, Winnicott). These intersubjective dimensions are understood as indicating dimensions of otherness that never occupy the field of human experience in a pure, exclusive form. The four matrices proposed need to be seen as simultaneous elements in the different processes of the constitution and development of subjectivity.

Causality, functional relations and contextualism: some questions rising from radical behaviorism

O presente artigo caracteriza-se como estudo teórico acerca das possibilidades identificadas nos instrumentos conceituais do contextualismo de Stephen C. Pepper para subsidiar a ampliação do foco de análise das interações sociais por analistas do comportamento. Examina-se o conceito de metáforas-raiz, a idéia de ato ou comportamento-no-contexto e o papel distintivo das relações funcionais priorizadas pelo Behaviorismo Radical em contrapartida à opção clássica da causalidade linear. Resultam cogitações, embasadas na literatura dos últimos quinze anos sobre relações contextualismo-behaviorismo, quanto a algumas características científica e socialmente relevantes e capazes de sinalizar para novas reflexões teóricas e para consolidação de programas de pesquisa orientados para aampliação de vínculo ao compromisso ético-social dessa abordagem psicológica.

This article is characterized as a theoretical study about the possibilities identified in the conceptual instruments of Stephen C. Pepper’s contextualism to subsidize the broadening of focus of the analysis of social interactions carried out by analysts of behavior. The concept of root metaphors is examined, as well as the idea of act or behavior-in- context and the distinctive role of the functional relations prioritized by the Radical Behaviorism in opposition to the classic option of linear causality. The results are assumptions, based in the literature of the last fifteen years on contextualism-behaviorism relations, about some characteristics, scientific and socially excellent, which are capable of signaling new theoretical reflections and the consolidation of research programs guided for magnifying the bond to the ethical-social commitment of this psychological approach.

Embodiment of subjectivity / Subjectivity of the body: notes on alterity and body

A partir do entrelaçamento da teoria psicanalítica com fragmentos de um caso clínico e, ao mesmo tempo, um desenho de Hans Bellmer, são tecidas considerações acerca do estatuto do corpo na psicanálise. Trata-se dos efeitos dos embates com o Outro na constituição do corpo articulada à subjetivação. Em contraponto à idéia de inscrição de marcas no corpo que constituem as zonas erógenas, resultantes da sedução por parte do outro, propõe-se a noção de uma inscrição da ausência de alteridade que geraria "zonas mortas no corpo".

This paper seeks to weave some thoughts on the body in psychoanalysis, entwining theory, a clinical case and a Hans Bellmer’s drawing. The impact of the Other is discussed in the constitution of the body, articulated to the subjectivity. Contrasting to the inscription of marks in the body, which are constitutive of erogenous zones by seduction, we propose the notion of an inscription of the absence of alterity, creating "dead zones in the body".

Psychologists at basic health units: professional training and practice

O objetivo do estudo foi caracterizar a formação e a atuação do psicólogo vinculado às Unidades Básicas de Saúde de Natal-RN. Uma entrevista semiestruturada foi aplicada a 28 profissionais dos 4 distritos sanitários. Os resultados mostram que 93% são do sexo feminino, 46% têm idade entre 30-40 anos, 89% se graduaram na UFRN fazendo estágio em clínica (69%), 89% buscaram estudos pós-graduados, 54% realizam unicamente psicoterapia e 46% aliada a outras atividades. São discutidas a marcante presença da atividade psicoterapêutica na prática do psicólogo; a desvinculação do trabalho dos princípios do SUS; a dificuldade de ultrapassar as concepções individualistas e psicologizantes dos problemas sociais em virtude da cultura profissional do psicólogo. A não adoção do conceito de saúde que implicaria uma concepção e atenção diferenciadas, equânimes e preventivas, dificulta as ações que diferem do modelo assistencial-curativo, reinante no ordenamento das políticas e nas ações de saúde.

We characterized the professional training and practice of psychologists in Basic Health Units in Natal-RN. A semi-structured interview was conducted with 28 psychologists in 4 sanitary districts. 93% of the psychologists were females, 46% were between 30-40 years old, 89% studied in UFRN, with supervised training in clinical activities (69%), 89% have been involved in post-graduate studies, 54% used only psychotherapy and 46% associated it with other activities. The prevalence of psychotherapy, the gap between the psychologist’s work and the principles of the Brazilian Unified Health System, and the difficulty of attaining a psychological practice that surpasses the individualistic and psychologically biased views of social problems are discussed. The non-adoption of a differentiated, egalitarian and preventive conception and practice of health is a barrier to the development of actions that differ from the assistential-curative model that prevails in the propositions both of health politics and actions.

Candy, pyramid or flower?: the process of production of meaning in a context of teaching and learning

Este texto discute o processo de produção de sentidos sobre o produto de uma atividade estética em uma situação formal de ensinar e aprender. Tal atividade foi proposta a acadêmicos matriculados em uma disciplina do curso de Psicologia da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. Os procedimentos escolhidos para coleta e análise de dados foram a videografia e a análise microgenética. A atenção centrou-se no diálogo estabelecido entre professoras e alunos no decorrer da atividade e na produção de uma das participantes, enfatizando as mediações engendradas e seus resultados. As reflexões fundamentaram-se nas contribuições de Vigotski, especificamente nas discussões sobre o processo de produção/apropriação de sentidos e a constituição do sujeito. Como resultado foram identificados elementos indicadores das mediações ali objetivadas e do processo vivido pela protagonista da situação, que resultou no reconhecimento de si como capaz de produzir criativamente algo que engendra múltiplos senti-dos para os sujeitos em relação.

This text discusses the process of production of meaning through the product of an aesthetic activity in a formal situation of teaching and learning. This activity was proposed to academics enrolled in a certain discipline of the Psychology Course at Federal University of Santa Catarina. The procedures chosen for collection and analysis of data were the videografia and the microgenetic analysis. The attention was focused on the dialogue established between teachers and pupils throughout the activity and in the production of one of the participants, emphasizing the mediations produced and its results. The reflections were based on the contributions of Vigotski, specifically on the discussions on the process of production/appropriation of meaning and on the constitution of the subject. As a result, some elements of the mediations that have been aimed there, as well as elements of the process experienced by the protagonist of the situation, were identified. The protagonist recognized herself as capable to produce something creative that generates multiple meanings for the subjects involved.

The developmental dyslexia: neuropsychological and cognitive aspects

Esta revisão de literatura discute várias pesquisas sobre dislexias de desenvolvimento, focalizando as dificuldades de sua definição. Os fatores causais foram classificados em extrínsecos (correlações com o funcionamento cerebral, fatores genéticos, características constitucionais) e intrínsecos (cognitivo-lingüísticos) às dislexias. A concepção teórica adotada é a da Psicologia Cognitiva e a da Neuropsicologia Cognitiva. A partir dessa revisão da literatura, analisamos a possibilidade dessa perspectiva teórica fornecer maiores subsídios para uma intervenção efetiva com as crianças disléxicas.

This literature review discusses several researches about developmental dyslexia focusing on the problems of its definition. Causal factors were classified as extrinsic factors (correlations between brain functioning, genetic factors, constitutional characteristics) and intrinsic ones (cognitive and linguistic). The theoretical approach is grounded on cognitive psychology and cognitive neuropsychology. Based on this literature review, we analyze the possibilities of this perspective providing subsidiaries for an efficient intervention with the dyslexic children.

The role performed by justice in the history of a family with sexual violence denounce

Este texto apresenta parte dos resultados obtidos em uma pesquisa realizada no contexto da Justiça, mais especificamente no âmbito de um estudo psicossocial de uma família com crianças que sofreram violência sexual. O objetivo foi apreender quais os possíveis significados atribuídos à Justiça, às experiências vividas pela família e, finalmente, qual o papel desempenhado pela Justiça na história de vida dessa família. Para tanto, buscou-se focalizar a narrativa da família, constituída a partir da fala e dos comportamentos dos sujeitos. A discussão teve como base os resultados obtidos por meio da aplicação da técnica projetiva de colagem. A análise das informações foi realizada segundo a proposta da hermenêutica de profundidade; os resultados apontam para o valor simbólico e objetivo do papel desempenhado pela Justiça na história da família participante da pesquisa.

This text brings part of the results of a research carried out in the Justice context, more specifically in the context of a psychosocial study of a case involving a family with children who have been sexually abused by the father. The research aimed at apprehending what are the possible meanings families give to their life experiences, to Justice, as well as apprehending what is the role performed by Justice in these families’ histories. To reach this objective, focus was given on the family narrative, composed by the participants’ speech and behavior. The discussion presented in this article was based in the results obtained through the projective technique of collage. The analysis of the information was realized through the depth hermeneutics proposal and the results showed the symbolic and objective role performed by Justice in the history of the participating family.
