O artigo se inspira na trágica vida e na bela invenção da vida e obra que Frida Kahlo compôs frente as suas vicissitudes. Apresenta, de forma interrogativa, a sequência de destrutividades firmadas na história desta mulher mexicana - acasos ou um sentido dado pelo superego? Ressalta, também, que não só Tanatos 'pincela' e fia a trajetória da 'aquarela' das pulsões da vida de Frida. Há outro lado do seu existir - Eros! É priorizada, então, no contexto do trabalho, a Arte como saída sublimatória; apresenta suas comoventes dores, em seus sofrimentos - físico e psíquico - e a sustentação a suas intempéries psíquicas.

This paper is inspired by Frida Kahlo's tragic life and the fine invention of life and work that Kahlo developed in face of her own vicissitudes. It presents, via an interrogative form, the sequence of destructive behaviors that this Mexican woman engaged with throughout her life - were they accidental or do they carry a meaning that could be attributed to her superego? The article underscores that not only Thanatos ´paints` and spins a watercolor of the instincts of Frida's life. There is another face to her being - Eros! The article also highlights Art as an output, as it seems, for the sublimation of Kahlo's sorrow, poignant physical and mental pains, and the support for her psychological disturbances.

Entertainment through pain by the way of the abject in violent pop movies

Pretendo analisar a pregnância do ethos violento como sintoma cultural no cinema cult de ação violenta. A dor inerente ao mal-estar contemporâneo é expurgada numa espécie de sublimação passiva e masoquista do espectador; pela via do espetáculo abjeto. Trata-se da busca de esvaziamento da angústia através da exposição a um dejeto mórbido, provocando um ambíguo entretenimento atuado na projeção da agressividade e na alienação ao gozo imediato com a morte trágica, embora cause, ao mesmo tempo, asco e pavor atuados no necessário desvio do olhar.

I intend to analyze the prevalence of violent ethos as a cultural symptom in violent cult movies. The spectator's pain, one that is inherent to our contemporary discomfort, is relieved in a kind of masochistic and passive sublimation, and the spectator manages such pain via the abject spectacle. The process refers to the spectator's attempt at overcoming angst through his exposure to a morbid detritus, one that ambiguously provokes an entertainment through the projection of aggression and alienation on the immediate pleasure proportioned by the sight of a tragic death while demanding necessary reactions of disgust and terror that will ultimately divert the spectator's gaze.

Cleaved psychisms: lack of meaning and insistence in existing

O artigo discute a noção de clivagem psíquica como defesa privilegiada diante do excesso pulsional, no âmbito da reviravolta conceitual dos anos 1920. Com este objetivo propomos, em um primeiro momento, investigar a contrapartida do objeto na organização do psiquismo clivado. E em seguida, abordar os impasses subjetivos da clivagem a partir das falhas na imbricação do objeto com a pulsão.

This paper discusses the notion of psychic cleavage as a favoured defense in face of instinctual excess in the context of the conceptual upheaval of the 1920's. In line with this objective we suggest: first, to investigate the counterpart of the object in organizing the cleaved psychism; and second, to deal with the subjective impasses of cleavage considering the flaws in the imbrication of the object with the drive.

Psichoanalytic considerations about the existence in contemporary discontent

Partindo de um recorte teórico que a psicanálise opera sobre a concepção do existir, o artigo aborda este tema do ponto de vista do mal-estar contemporâneo, fundamentando a concepção de sujeito na condição de existência, ex-sistência e insistência. Destaca-se a depressão como um sofrimento que, fixado à representação primária da "Criança Maravilhosa" e subjugado à evanescência do ideal do eu, insiste como forma de responder à dor da perda. Diferenciando- o do luto e da melancolia, concebe-se o mal-estar depressivo como resultado de uma tentativa fracassada de suturação da falta no Outro, que visa anular, narcisicamente, a própria falta-a-ser, implicando uma forma sintomática de existir no mal-estar contemporâneo.

From a theoretical framework that psychoanalysis operates about the conception of existing, the article approaches this theme from contemporary discontent point of view, basing the conception of subject on its condition of existence, ex-sistence and insistence. We highlight depression as a suffering that , fixed to the primary representation of the "Wonderful Child" and subjugated to the evanescence of the ego ideal, insists as a way to respond to the loss pain. Differentiating it from grief and melancholy, the depressive discontent is conceived as result of a failed attempt to suturing the lack in the Other, which aims to annul, narcissistically, the very lack-to-be, implying a symptomatic way to exist in contemporary discontent.

Elasticidade e limite na clínica da drogadicção: por um pensamento clínico complexo

Neste artigo apresentamos alguns fragmentos dos atendimentos de um caso de drogadicção, em articulação com contribuições teórico-clínicas relativas ao trabalho psicanalítico com pacientes limites. Com base na obra de Wilfred Bion da clínica psicanalítica a partir de três vértices - o da clínica do confronto, o da clínica da ausência e o da clínica da continência - analisamos o material apresentado, consideramos a possibilidade de integração dos três modelos na constituição de um pensamento clínico complexo.

In this paper we present some fragments of the treatment of a drugs addiction case, linked to theoretical and clinical contributions on psychoanalytic work with borderline patients. In the light of Wilfred Bion's work on psychoanalytic clinic seen from three sides - the clinic of confrontation, the clinic of absence and the clinic of continence -, we contemplate the possibility of integrating the three models in the constitution of a complex clinical thought.

Psychoanalysis and University: considerations based on experience of clinical practice in the university

Discute-se uma experiência de iniciação de prática clínica partindo de um episódio jurídico-administrativo que interroga aos alunos sobre o que buscam em uma clínica-escola universitária referenciada na psicanálise. Ancorando-se sobretudo no legado de Freud sobre a universidade e Lacan sobre os discursos, conclui-se que mesmo que a busca pela universidade ocorra como um pedido de saber, o terapeuta pode se reposicionar e produzir enquanto sujeito na mesma.

This article issues a clinical practice initiation experience when a legal and administrative episode took place and led the students to question themselves about their expectations of an university psychology clinic. Based mainly on both Freud and Lacan's legacies, the former about the "University" and the latter one about the "Discourses", it can be concluded that even if the therapist demand for the university occurs on a sort of knowledge need, they can put themselves in another position, that is, as subjects in the institution.

The invocatory drive and the abyss of the origins: notes on music and silence

O artigo aborda a voz como um excedente real do Outro, considerando o traço unário como uma operação inaugural que funda um silêncio estruturante, definido como uma zona de silêncio ou um ponto surdo - uma zona inaudita que permite ao sujeito esquecer o timbre originário da voz do Outro. A abertura dessa zona inaudita inaugura o circuito da pulsão invocante, a partir da qual o sujeito, depois de esquecer o chamado do Outro, poderá chamar. A música surge como resposta singular que um sujeito pode formular diante do impossível do encontro com a voz em sua dimensão de objeto a. O retorno do circuito da invocação inclui o enlace a um terceiro, implicando o ponto onde se situa o abismo do silêncio do Outro enquanto enigma que desliza na cultura.

The paper approaches voice as a real exceeding surplus of the Other and the unary trait as an inaugural operation founding a structural silence, defined as a zone of silence or a deaf spot - as an unheard zone that allows the subject to forget the Other's original timbre. Psychoanalysis nowadays: production of new subjectivities?

O artigo visa questionar a ideia acerca das "novas subjetividades", abordando a problemática da contemporaneidade através da relação do sujeito com a temporalidade e com a narrativa. Assim, o artigo pretende articular teoria, clínica e cultura a partir dos conceitos de trauma em Freud e Ferenezi, e da abordagem de Walter Benjamin sobre a narrativa, além da contribuição de pensadores contemporâneos.

This article aims to question the idea about "new subjectivities", addressing the problems of contemporary world through the subject's relation with temporality and narrative. Thus, the article intends to articulate the theory, clinical and culture from Freud and Ferenczi's trauma concepts, and Walter Benjamin´s approach on narrative, beyond the contribution of contemporary thinkers.

O artigo procura extrair dos textos de Ferenczi sua dimensão política, estendendo as noções de trauma e desmentido ao campo social. Associa o desmentido à recusa de reconhecimento, estabelecendo aproximações e distâncias entre as ideias de Ferenczi e as de alguns teóricos contemporâneos, como Axel Honneth e Judith Butler. Fornecendo um peso político à horizontalidade clínica, discute uma nova modalidade de laço social, construído sobre o reconhecimento da vulnerabilidade.

This paper tries to extract the political dimension from Ferenczi's texts, extending the notions of trauma and denial to the social field. It links denial to the idea of denied recognition stating congruencies and discrepancies between Ferenczi's ideas and those of some contemporary theorists like Axel Honneth and Judith Butle. By providing a political dimension to clinical horizontality, it discusses a new kind of social bond built upon the recognition of vulnerability.

Body and psychosis: links between Psychoanalysis and Informatics

O presente artigo busca discutir a informática como uma ferramenta mediadora no trabalho com a psicose, a partir do relato de uma intervenção de caráter interdisciplinar, articulando a informática na educação e a psicanálise, com uma jovem de 20 anos, com diagnóstico clínico de psicose. As contribuições da intervenção para avanços na relação da jovem com seu próprio corpo e história são discutidas, considerando-a como um recurso adicional ao tratamento de pacientes com transtornos psíquicos graves.

This paper discusses the computer as a mediator tool in psychosis studies from the report of an interdisciplinary intervention, combining computer technology in education and psychoanalysis, with a youth of 20, diagnosed with psychosis. The contributions for advances in respect of the young one with her own body and history are discussed, considering it as an additional resource to the treatment of patients with severe mental disorders.

Myths and origins in freudian psychoanalysis

Em diversos momentos de sua teoria, Freud recorreu aos mitos e às referências e metáforas mitológicas para abordar e explicar as origens, preenchendo lacunas teóricas que surgiam quando era levado a teorizar para além do que lhe parecia formalizável conceitualmente. Neste artigo, abordaremos a questão das origens e o recurso a alguns mitos a partir de três eixos: (1) o conceito de originário e a hipótese do recalcamento originário, (2) a hipótese filogenética e (3) o mito científico da horda primitiva.

At various points of his theory, Freud turned to the myths and to mythological references and metaphors to address and explain the originary, filling theoretical gaps that appeared when he was obliged to think beyond what seemed conceptually formalizable. In this text, we discuss the question of the origins and the use of some myths from three axes: (1) the concept of originary and the hypothesis of primary repression, (2) the phylogenetic hypothesis and (3) the scientific myth of the primal horde.
