The Marketing child: a ferenczian reading

A teoria do trauma ferencziana - que pensa a cisão entre dois mundos: o da criança e o dos adultos, onde a linguagem da ternura infantil pode ser atropelada pela linguagem da paixão dos adultos - é um importante instrumento teórico para se pensar psicanaliticamente o uso abusivo e violento que as práticas contemporâneas do marketing exercem sobre as crianças.

The Ferenczis theory of trauma - that establishes the split between two worlds: the childs and the adults, where the childs language of tenderness can be run over by the adults language of passion - is an important psychoanalytic theoretical tool to better understand the violence and abuse that contemporary marketing practices have on children.

Arrested by the act, condemned to the word: a psychoanalytical view

O objetivo deste artigo é fazer uma articulação do ato à palavra, como próprios da condição humana, considerando a predominância de um deles em detrimento da disfunção do outro, e a dinâmica da palavra no contexto clínico. A partir do enredo da peça Le Profe, escrita por Dopacne, trabalhamos o sentido do ato, segundo a teorização de Freud e de Lacan; apresentamos a noção de ato, desde os supostamente inocentes e despropositados aos de força destrutiva, e enfocamos a palavra como possibilidade de representação do ato, no contexto clínico, necessária a uma nova ordem do ponto de vista do tratamento.

The purpose of this paper is to make an articulation of the action to the word, both proper to the human condition, considering the predominance of one over the dysfunction of the other, and the dynamics of the word in the clinical context. From the plot of the play Le Profe, written by Dopagne, we work the meaning of the act, according to the theory of Freud and Lacan; we present the notion of act, from the supposedly innocent and unreasonable to the destructive force, and we focus on the word as a possible representation of the act, in the clinical setting, necessary to a new order from the point of view of the treatment.

Repression versus envy: a little kiss on the shoulder

As palavras, por mais que saibamos sua etimologia e das circunstâncias de seus usos, possuem um aspecto que encontramos no interior da própria linguagem: a produção de sentidos. Sendo assim, elas se destacam de sua origem e significam, por vezes, opostos, como é possível perceber no bordão “beijinho no ombro pro recalque passar longe”, criado pelos autores Vianna, Vieira e Pardal (2013) na música brasileira Beijinho no ombro. O presente estudo tem como propósito apresentar as diferenças de conceitos de dois termos que têm sido frequentemente vinculados como sinônimos: recalque e inveja.

The words, however we know the etiology and the circumstances of their use possess an aspect which we find inside the language itself: the production of meaning. So, many words stand out from its origin and present new directions, sometimes opposed to the first one. As we can see in the catchphrase "a little kiss on the shoulder to move away from repression" by the authors Vianna, Vieira and Pardal (2013) in the brazilian song “A little kiss on the shoulder”. This study aims to present the differences in concepts of two terms that have often been linked as synonyms: repression and envy.

Psychoanalytic psychopathology: contemporaneous and alterity

Neste artigo, faz-se uma reflexão acerca dos estudos sobre psicopatologia e sua aplicação no campo psicanalítico ao considerar aspectos da subjetividade e alteridade contemporâneas. Para tanto, abordam-se as modificações da constituição da família na história e a influência dessas modificações na imago paterna, diferenciando-a da função paterna. Aborda-se também o sintoma enquanto expressão da verdade do inconsciente e o paradoxo do diagnóstico psicanalítico, bem como se discute o enlaçamento do “estranho” com a alteridade.

This paper holds a reflection about the studies on psychopathology and its application to the psychoanalytic domain when considering aspects of contemporary subjectivity and alterity. It addresses to the changes in family pattern through history and the influence of these changes over the paternal imago, distinguishing it from the paternal function. It addresses the symptom as an expression of the truth of the unconscious and the paradox of psychoanalytic diagnosis. It discusses the bonding of “weird” with alterity.

The work and the subjectivity

Este artigo é uma revisão de literatura sobre o tema subjetividade e trabalho segundo o referencial da psicanálise. Diferentemente de propor soluções ou concluir a respeito de como entender a subjetividade nos modelos de gestão existentes, o objetivo aqui é levantar questionamentos que possibilitem reflexões acerca de problemas inerentes às relações de trabalho e aos interesses, muitas vezes distantes, entre as empresas e as pessoas. A contribuição teórica são os estudos de Freud, da psicodinâmica do trabalho e a análise de Foucault sobre micro e macropoderes, numa tentativa de refletir sobre as mudanças e o exercício dos poderes nas organizações. Como hipótese, pergunta-se: é possível atender as demandas subjetivas dentro da estrutura empresarial e dos valores políticos e econômicos que compartilhamos atualmente?

This paper is a literary review about subjectivity and work under the framework of psychoanalysis. Unlike offering solutions or conclusions about how to understand the subjectivity within the existing models of management, it aims to promote questions that enable reflections on problems inherent to labor relations and concerns, often far away, between companies and people. The theoretical contribution is the study of the psychodynamics of work and Foucault's analysis about micro and macro power in an attempt to reflect on the changes and power practices inside organizations. As hypothesis, the question is: is it possible to meet subjective demands within the business structure and political-economic values currently shared?

Notes on the political act in the Movement of Psychoanalytic Entities Brazilian Articulation

A questão de como se pensar o ato político no Movimento de Articulação das Entidades Psicanalíticas Brasileiras é o cerne deste artigo, que tem como norte a via do ato analítico tal como definido por Lacan. No Seminário 15 Lacan define o ato analítico como aquele que, não elidindo a dimensão do Outro, traz consequências que se referem ao efeito divisor do objeto a no sujeito, deixando a questão de como, a partir do ato analítico, se definiria o ato em geral, o que ele não nomeia, como diz. Nessa breve reflexão tenta-se pensar se um ato político, a partir da experiência de Articulação, pode com essa referência ser definido como um ato que instaura uma divisão, no coletivo, colocando-nos uma interrogação sobre como essa divisão seria verificada. Se pudermos chamar de ato político alguma(s) das intervenções do Movimento que fez(fizeram) mudar o rumo do que estava sendo proposto em relação à regulamentação da psicanálise - o que lhe destituiria de sua condição estrutural de ser não regulamentável - teríamos que pensar em como verificar o efeito de divisão, que é apenas no sujeito que pode ser verificado. De que forma um coletivo nos testemunharia efeitos de ato nesse campo das ações de Articulação?

The question of how to think about the political act within the Brazilian Movement of Articulation of Psychoanalytical Entities is the aim of this paper. It conceives the analytic act as defined at Seminar book 15 by Lacan. There the analytic act is outlined as one that, not eluding the Others dimension, causes consequences that refer to the splitting effect on the subject by the object a, leaving the interrogation of how, departing from the analytical act, would define the act in general, the act that he doesnt name. In this brief reflection we try to see if a political act that stems from the experience of the Articulation, could be defined as an act that establishes a division among a collectivity, bringing us the issue of how this division would be verified. If we name as a political act some of the interferences of this Movement - that changed the course of what was being proposed about legalizing psychoanalytic practice and which would deprive of its structural condition of not being legalizable - we would have to think about how to check the effect of division, which is only subjectively verifiable. How could a collectivity witness effects of act in this field of action named Articulation?

Love and Art

A criação artística em qualquer dos campos que se desenvolva, sempre foi considerada um ato solitário e sofrido. Admitir um casal de artistas vivendo uma intensa relação sexual, morando juntos e produzindo obras de mérito parece utópico. As mulheres, principalmente, são tidas como discípulas ou dependentes do homem. A autora coloca essa pressuposição em questão, tentando desmistificá-la. O sujeito, em relação a seu trabalho criativo, desenvolve uma relação narcísica, dual onde não há lugar para um terceiro. Um casal de gênios, na verdade, é um encontro de dois pares, cada um acoplado à sua obra de criação.

Artistic creation in any field has always been viewed as a lonely and painful work. To accept that a couple of artists can experience an intense sexual relationship, while living together and producing great work seems to be an utopic notion. Women, mainly, are considered disciples or dependent on men. The author questions this presumption in an attempt to demystify it. The subject, in relation to his creative work, develops a dual narcisistic relationship with no room for a third one. A couple of geniuses, in reality, is the meeting of two pairs each one fusioned on his/her creative work.

This paper brings basic contributions about present sexuality through a clinical case of obsessive neurosis. The author shows that in some instances of neurosis its necessary to summon the Name-of-the father as a restraining function to the excesses shown at current clinic.

It is intended in this essay to address the sense of the word health in the work of Donald Winnicott, as the aim of showing its conceptual complexity and its relations with the ripening process.

From Toxicomania to Addiction: a relational approach

Dada a importância do problema da toxicomania no mundo atual, bem como sua complexidade, faz-se necessária uma abordagem psicanalítica abrangente, que privilegie não apenas o aspecto pulsional, mas também a perspectiva relacional. No presente artigo, analisamos as contribuições de dois autores que tratam do problema sob esta última perspectiva: Donald W. Winnicott e Joyce McDougall. Concluímos com um resumo dessas contribuições, formando um modelo geral de análise do problema a partir de um enfoque relacional e indicando possíveis aplicações desse modelo a outros problemas da contemporaneidade.

Given the importance of the problem of toxicomania in the world today, as well as its complexity, a comprehensive psychoanalytic approach is necessary, focusing not only the pulsional aspect, but also a relational perspective. In this paper, we analyze the contributions of two authors who deal with the problem from the latter perspective: Donald W. Winnicott and Joyce McDougall. We conclude with a summary of these contributions, forming a general model for analysis of the problem from a relational approach and indicating possible applications of this model to other problems of contemporaneity.

The construction of reality through play

O estudo teórico e clínico no campo psicanalítico instiga os impulsos criativos e se constitui a matéria-prima do brincar que conduz à experiência cultural. Mas isso é possível pelo doloroso reconhecimento pelo lactente de que seus sentimentos de amor e ódio se dirigem à mesma pessoa, permitindo que a introjeção e a projeção se manifestem nas relações objetais desde o início, bem como à capacidade de superar os limites externos, o que leva à sublimação pulsional. Se o bebê suporta a frustração, ele pode usar o aparelho psíquico para produzir representações, simbolizações sem o incremento dos sentimentos persecutórios. Isso favorece a criatividade e a capacidade para brincar, tolerar e modificar os efeitos da pulsão destrutiva. Nesse processo do brincar, crianças e adultos se tornam criativos, espontâneos e acessam o verdadeiro self, ressignificando as limitações externas, o sentimento de abandono e o uso de defesas como a onipotência e a negação para construir uma realidade significativa a partir da existência de um eu.

The psychoanalytic process provides opportunity for developing experiences and creative impulses, constituting the prime material of playing and leading cultural experience. But this is possible through the painful recognition by the infant that his feelings of love and hate are directed to the same person only, allowing the introjection of good objects leading to sublimation of instinct. If the baby tolerates frustration, he uses his psychical apparatus to ward off persecutory feelings. This favors the symbolic, creativity and the ability to play and to bear and rework effects of the destructive drive. At the playing process, children and adults can be creative, use their full personality to discover their true self, to support and accept limitations, to abandon omnipotence and build a meaningful reality trough the the existence of a self.

Male Sexuality

O presente artigo discorre sobre a clínica psicanalítica na escuta do masculino na atualidade. Tempos atrás foi o feminino que graças a Sigmund Freud saiu das sombras e ocupou o primeiro plano. Esse evento inaugural da psicanálise nos convoca a fazer o mesmo movimento na escuta do sujeito masculino, que sofreu uma mudança na dinâmica de seu lugar no mundo e principalmente no olhar para si mesmo. Para tal objetivo a autora usará de veredas clínicas.

This paper discusses the clinical psychoanalytic listening of today’s men. Long ago were women that due to Sigmund Freud went out of the shadows and occupied the foreground. This inaugural event of psychoanalysis calls us to do the same movement in listening to the male subject who suffered a change in the dynamics of its place in the word and especially on the look at himself. For this purpose the author had used for clinical paths.

Philosophy and liberty: the challenge of psychoanalysis

O texto analisa as relações e as implicações da questão da liberdade com a do inconsciente psicanalítico. Num primeiro momento, é registrado o evento de Bonneval (1960) quando o tema do inconsciente foi objeto de reflexão entre psiquiatras, psicanalistas e filósofos franceses. Em seguida, são apresentadas algumas perspectivas para se repensar os limites e a possibilidade da liberdade humana dentro da atual conjuntura cultural.

The text analyzes relations and implications of the question of freedom with the psychoanalytic unconscious. At first, is recorded the event in Bonneval (1960) when the issue of the unconscious was the object of discussion between psychiatrists, psychoanalysts and French philosophers. Then, some perspectives to rethink the limits and the possibility of human freedom within the current cultural context are presented.

The law read as a field of jouissance: the legal case as unique case and the clinic in the social bond

A relação entre direito e psicanálise é tratada de modo discursivo e operacional. A psicanálise é usada como operador de leitura de um campo discursivo, segundo as premissas lógicas, éticas e topológicas da psicanálise lacaniana. O direito não é reduzido ao aspecto normativo. O direito se lê como um campo operatório estruturado discursivamente - um campo de gozo, que ex-siste em ato, a partir dos diferentes discursos jurídicos, um a um. O caso jurídico, concebido como caso único, se estrutura a partir do sinthoma jurídico, sendo correlato da père-version, como produção discursiva, e condição da clínica no laço social, uma clínica de discurso que faz ex-sistir o analista, só depois, como aquele que lê topologicamente.

The connection between Law and Psychoanalysis is treated in a discursive and operational mode. Psychoanalysis is used as a reading operator of a discursive field, according to the logical, ethical and topological assumptions of the lacanian psychoanalysis. Law is not reduced to normative aspects. Law is read as a discursively structured operating field - a field of ‘jouissance’, which ‘ex-sists’ in act, from different legal discourses, one by one. The legal case designed as unique case is structured from the legal ‘sinthome’, being correlated to the ‘père-version’, as a discursive production, and a condition of the clinic in the social bond, a discourse clinic that makes ‘ex-sist’ the analyst, afterwards, as the one who reads topologically.
