Pensar a crueldade no coração da política

Se, como mostra a psicanálise, não há evolução do psiquismo humano em que a pulsão de morte participa; se a tentação tirânica habita o cerne do político e do social; se o gozo da tortura e da crueldade aparecem quase sistematicamente em todas as sociedades humanas, então, a reafirmação dos direitos do homem e a organização de tribunais internacionais se tornam cada vez mais necessárias, a um só tempo como « ameaça » para os tiranos e, sobretudo, como "justiça" para a comunidade humana.

If, as shows psychoanalysis, there is no evolution of the human psyche that the death instinct participates; If the tyrannical temptation inhabits the core of the social and political; If the enjoyment of torture and cruelty appears almost systematically in all human societies, then, the reaffirmation of the rights of man and the organization of international courts become increasingly necessary, and at the same time a "threat" for tyrants and, above all, "justice" to the human community.

The war and traumatic neurosis: the subject's responses to barbarism

No estado de guerra, a quebra dos imperativos de lei resulta na banalização da violência dirigida ao outro e da morte, o que afeta diretamente o limite das ações que sustentam ou destroem o laço entre os povos. Nesse cenário tão adverso, a experiência traumática inunda o aparelho psíquico, num excesso pulsional inassimilável, e deixa o sujeito submergido no trauma, na neurose, sem condições de simbolização, refém da repetição compulsiva do acontecimento danoso. Diante da angústia devastadora do psiquismo, a análise dos sujeitos neurotizados pela guerra é uma necessidade urgente. Nesse sentido, a Psicanálise oferece uma escuta diferenciada por ser balizada pela ética do sujeito do inconsciente.

In a state of war, the breaking of law results in the trivialization of death and violence towards the other, and this affects the limits of actions that strengthen or destroy bonds among peoples. In such scenery, the traumatic experience invades the psyche submerging the subject into trauma, neurosis, leaving no conditions for symbolization; the subject, then, becomes a hostage of the compulsive repetition of a negative happening. Because of the devastating anguish of the psyche, the analysis of neurotized subjects is an urgent necessity. In this sense, psychoanalysis provides a distinct opportunity for listening, marked by the presence of the ethics of the subject of the unconsciousness.

Quando o passado não passa

O trabalho tem como objetivo pôr em questão certas noções de história, memória e verdade, que estão no centro de um debate político nos dias de hoje no Brasil. Esse questionamento se dá através de duas perspectivas diferentes, mas que acabam por convergir. A primeira diz respeito a uma visão etimológica destas noções, tal como concebidas na Grécia Antiga. Esta perspectiva é trazida à tona como forma de produzir um distanciamento crítico necessário para a introdução da visada psicanalítica sobre essas questões, fundadas na disruptiva concepção do funcionamento do aparelho psíquico.

This paper aims at questioning contemporary assumptions of history, memory, and truth, at the core of some political discussions going on nowadays in Brazil. This questioning is carried out through two different but converging perspectives. The first one is an etymological overview of these notions as held in Ancient Greece. This perspective is brought about as a means of creating a necessary critical distance from our present standpoint in order to make way for the introduction of the psychoanalytical conception of these notions, grounded on its epistemological breakthrough of the functioning of the psychic apparatus.

Muerte voluntaria y etica

El presente artículo se ocupa de analizar aquellas situaciones en las cuales una persona -que padeceun enfermedad mortal a corto plazo y que ya no tiene tratamiento curativo-solicita asistencia paraponer fin a su propia vida. SE abordan los aspectos subjetivos de tal acto suicida y se conceptualizala nocion de suicidio etico en contraposicion con el suicidio que es resultado de una patología. Tambien se exploran aspectos legales vinculados a la cuestión.

O presente artigo se ocupa em analisar aquelas situações em que uma pessoa - que padece de umadoença que será fatal a curto prazo e que já não dispõe de tratamento curativo - solicita asistenciapara por fim a sua própria vida. Os aspectos subjetivos de tal ato suicida são abordados e seconceitualiza a noção de suicidio ético em contraposição com o suicidio que é resultado de umapatología. Tambem são explorados aspectos legais vinculados à questão.

This article focuses on analyzing those situations in which a person, who suffers from a disease thatis fatal in the short term and that no longer offers curative treatment - requests for assistance top utend to his own life. The subjective aspects of such a suicidal act are addressed and conceptualizesthe notion of ethical suicide as opposed to suicide, which is a result of a pathology. Legal aspectslinked to the matter are also explored.

Psychoanalysis and old age: are the "elderly" obsolete?

O presente texto parte da conjunção do discurso capitalista com os progressos da ciência tecnológica e indica como este enquadre tem consequências específicas para o "idoso" que, rapidamente, encarna a figura do velho, do obsoleto, do improdutivo. Segue pontuando algumas questões que focalizam, sobretudo, o impacto desta lógica - marcadamente técnica - sobre o dia a dia de um ambulatório. Avança procurando situar diferentes discursos vigentes e a pergunta acerca do lugar do discurso psicanalítico neste contexto.

This paper begins with the conjunction of the capitalist discourse and the progresses of technoscience and indicates how this scenario has specific consequences for the "elderly" who rapidly, assume the role of the aged, the obsolete and the unproductive ones. Further, this article highlights some questions that focus mainly on the impact of this logic - markedly technical -on the day to day of a clinic. Lastly, this paper will seek to situate different current discourses and the question concerning the place of the psychoanalytic discourse in this context.

The subject-child and their surprises

No presente artigo, desenvolvemos a ideia de que, mesmo quando a criança, com um diagnóstico oncológico, é vista como frágil e dependente, é possível a criação de um espaço onde se possa dar lugar ao dizer através do brincar. Acreditamos que, no enfrentamento da dor física, do sofrimento psíquico e da morte como possibilidade, viabiliza-se, através da especificidade de encontros contingentes, a promoção de uma escuta diferenciada e um espaço lúdico de criação para que o sujeito-criança encontre suas saídas. Da rede tecida entre Psicanálise, Educação Física e Medicina, através da via lúdica, foram explicitadas algumas formas pelas quais a criança pode ver facilitada a elaboração de seu diagnóstico e tratamento. Por privilegiarmos a singularidade de cada sujeito envolvido nesse processo, oriundo de uma intervenção feita em ambiente hospitalar, apresentamos aqui as invenções imaginárias e simbólicas de alguns sujeitos-crianças que nos surpreenderam a cada encontro, demonstrando como o brincar, na rede enlaçada pelas três disciplinas acima referidas, serviu como instrumento facilitador no enfrentamento da dor psíquica.

In this article we develop the idea that even when the child, with a cancer diagnosis, is seen as fragile and dependent, is possible to create a space where they can give way to say through the play. We believe that in dealing with physical pain, psychological distress and the possibility of death as is possible, through the specificity of contingent encounters, promoting a differentiated listening and a creative play for the subject-child find their outputs. from the network between Psychoanalysis, Physical Education and Medicine, thought the play, were explained some ways in which the child can see facilitated the development of cancer diagnosis and treatment. By favouring the uniqueness of each individual involved in this process, coming from a speech made in the hospital, we demonstrate the inventions of some imaginary and symbolic subject-children surprised us at every meeting, demonstrating how to play, network entangled by the three disciplines above, served as facilitator in dealing with psychic pain, when the diagnosis is cancer.

Politics, culture and market in a world without values: dialogues between psychoanalysis and aesthetics

Este artigo discute o lugar e o papel da arte a partir de determinadas noções e definições de estética que se miscigenam e se misturam às políticas de mercado e são, em grande parte, comandadas por ela. Ao mesmo tempo, destaca na concepção do inconsciente freudiano a radicalidade dos fazeres da arte e da psicanálise.

This article discusses the place and the role of art from certain concepts and definitions of aesthetics that amalgamate and blend with the market policies. This conceptualizations and definitions are, in many ways controlled by the market. At the same time it highlights in the conception of Freudian's unconscious the radicalism of the making of art and psychoanalysis.

Claudel e as implicações da derrisão do pai

A trilogia Les Coûfontaines do dramaturgo francês Paul Claudel é abordada como meio de expressão e de reflexão de questões candentes da dinâmica trágica contemporânea, que recaem, sobretudo, nos modos pelos quais nela a função paterna atua. A leitura de Jacques Lacan servirá de suporte para muitas das proposições acerca da dimensão trágica da função do pai na contemporaneidade.

The trilogy Les Coûfontaines of French playwright Paul Claudel is discussed as a means of expression and reflection of burning issues of tragic contemporary dynamics, that falls, especially, in the ways in which the paternal function operates. Reading Jacques Lacan will serve as support for many of the propositions about the tragic dimension of the father's role in contemporary times.

Quando as mulheres gostavam (?!) de apanhar (narrativas femininas nos primeiros filmes baseados em peças de Nelson Rodrigues)

O autor propõe um confronto entre as narrativas da mítica personagem Sherazade e as de algumas personagens de peças de Nelson Rodrigues que foram utilizadas em filmes brasileirosrealizados entre 1963 e 1973. Discute-se o recurso literário do uso do "narrador inconfiável", além da aplicação de alguns conceitos psicanalíticos evocados a partir de características das personagens.

The author proposes a confrontation between the narratives of the mythical character Scheherazade and some parts of Nelson Rodrigues' characters that were used in Brazilian films made between 1963 and 1973. The literary feature use of the "unreliable narrator" is discussed in addition to the application of some psychoanalytic concepts evoked from the characteristics ofthe characters.
