Este texto apresenta as fotomontagens de Grete Stern efetuadas por encomenda para a coluna “A psicanálise vai ajudá-la” da revista argentina Idilio. Ele procura situar a fotógrafa no momento de aceitar este trabalho “em colaboração” e propor a fotomontagen como forma de ilustração dessa coluna. Finalmente compara o uso da proporção nas fotomontagens de Stern com o modo em que esta se insere em uma das novelas que aparecem na biblioteca fotografada em “Sonhos de frutas”, Memórias de uma anã (1921), de Walter de la Mare.

This work attempts to make a presentation of Grete Stern’s photomontages, which were her collaborations in order to illustrate the column “The psychoanalysis will help you” for the Argentinean magazine Idilio. It attempts to catch Grete Stern in the very moment she accepts this kind of professional work “in collaboration” and proposes the mode of the photomontage in order to realize it. Finally it compares the use of relative proportions in Grete Stern pieces with its presence in Walter de la Mare’s roman: Memoirs of a Midget (1921), which appears in one of her photomontages: “Dreams with fruits”.

A partir do momento histórico em que surgiu a revista Idilio na Argentina, entramos em contato com mulheres de famílias em transição que desejam se expressar e cujos sonhos não são interpretados em uma relação intersubjetiva de análise.

From the historical moment when Idilio magazine was first published, we have contacted women from transitional families who wish to express themselves and whose dreams are not interpreted from the point of view of an inter-subjective analytical relationship.

A coluna Fale com Ela da Revista da Folha - Jornal Folha de São Paulo é colocada no divã. A autora aborda, brevemente, uma série de considerações históricas sobre as colunas femininas em Jornais e Revistas no país. Considera a citada coluna como um exercício de Clínica Extensa e de divulgação da Psicanálise ao conseguir um efeito interpretativo como acréscimo do método psicanalítico a esse tipo de material jornalístico. Depois, toma como caso clínico uma coluna, demonstrando o tipo de pensamento onírico e literário que envolve a construção de uma resposta à pergunta de um leitor, pensamento análogo ao da clínica psicanalítica.

The column ‘Fale com Ela’ from the weekly magazine Revista da Folha, part of the newspaper Folha de São Paulo, is put on the couch. The author briefly approaches a series of historical considerations about the feminist columns in the country’s newspapers and magazines. She considers the cited column as an exercise of Extended Clinic, and of airing Psychoanalysis, managing to have an interpretative effect with the use of the psychoanalytic method in this type journalistic material. The author then takes a column as a clinical case, demonstrating the type of dream and literary thought that involves the construction of a response to a reader’s question, analogous to the thought used in clinical psychoanalytic work.

Os caminhos da imaginação material Este artigo trata da teoria da imaginação material postulada pelo filósofo francês Gaston Bachelard e de suas possibilidades para a leitura de certos aspectos do universo poético da artista plástica Flávia Ribeiro. Para isso a autora, à maneira da atenção flutuante da escuta psicanalítica, vale-se de recortes por ela efetuados na fala da artista, obtida em entrevistas concedidas por ela em seu ateliê e entendida como exercício poético, e na seleção de trabalhos de sua vasta obra.

This paper deals with Gaston Bachelard’s material imagination theory and its possibilities for a reading of certain aspects of the plastic artist Flávia Ribeiro’s poetic universe. For this, the author, like the free floating attention as utilized in psichoanalysis, clips the artist’s discourse, as a poetic manifestation, and selects certain works of her universe.

O autor parte de uma linguagem icônica e trechos da carta-convite desta revista para tratar especificamente de algumas funções da pele e do sonho, que julga serem semelhantes.

The author utilizes an iconic language and segments from the invitation of this publication to deal with functions of the skin and the dreams thought to be analogous.

O autor descreve a condição que seria necessária para um trabalho criativo em psicanálise (e também nas demais ciências e artes). Relata estados que se aproximariam daquilo experimentado por visionários e alucinados, mas que, diferentemente dos últimos, são percebidos no espaço mental na forma de pensamentos-sonho ou sonhos. Para esclarecer seus pontos de vista, vale-se de observações feitas por Bion, Longman e Proust.

The author describes what he believes is the condition required to do a creative work in psychoanalysis (and also in other sciences and in arts). He describes mental states that are keen to ones lived by visionary and hallucinated people, but perceived as happening in the mental space in the form of dream-thoughts and dreams. The works by Bion, Longman and Proust are used by the author to make his point clear.

A autora, estimulada pelo convite da revista ide, utiliza-se do balé Petrouchka, de Igor Stravinsky, do sonho de uma analisanda e do filme A partida para tecer considerações sobre o tema da cesura (de vida e de morte) do vértice psicanalítico, entendendo a cesura como sinapse, vínculo, geradora de formas relacionais.

The author stimulated by the invitation from IDE magazine, makes use of the Petrouchka ballet with music of Igor Stravinsky, an analysand dream and the movie Departures to weave considerations about the subject of cesura (of life and death) from the psychoanalytic vertex, understanding the cesura as synapse, bond, generating relational forms.

Neste artigo a autora trabalha com imagens oníricas partindo de dois contextos: o contexto apresentado pelas fotomontagens de Grete Stern e o contexto analítico. Neste último, a autora situa o leitor primeiramente na teorização acerca dos sonhos, do processo onírico e dos símbolos oníricos. A seguir usa um sonho para ilustrar os movimentos do sonhador e do analista em busca de significados por meio das imagens oníricas que aparecem na sessão, e aproxima estas imagens às fotomontagens de Grete Stern.

The author of this paper investigates dream images based on two different contexts: that presented by Grete Stern’s photomontages, and the analytic context. For this latter, the author situates the reader in the theory of dreams, the dreaming process and dream symbols. Then uses a dream to illustrate the movements of the dreamer and analyst in search of meanings through the dream images that arise in the session, and compares these images with Grete Stern’s photomontages.

Este artigo insere-se no contexto do Laboratório de Estudos em Psicologia da Arte (LAPA-USP) e aborda a temática da correspondência das artes e a unidade dos sentidos. Assumindo a postura interdisciplinar preconizada pelo Laboratório, munido de referencial fenomenológico, estético e psicanalítico, procuro investigar o romance Lavoura arcaica, de Raduan Nassar, e o filme homônimo, dirigido por Luiz Fernando Carvalho, atentando sobretudo para a correspondência estabelecida entre os dois registros. Mais especificamente, a partir da leitura do romance, abordo as condições para o surgimento do filme, debruço-me sobre a correspondência entre as obras e aporto de volta à linguagem, quando então discuto a temática da diversidade e da unidade do múltiplo encarnada em Lavoura arcaica.

This research inserts itself in the context of the Laboratory of Studies in Psychology of Art (LAPA-USP), and it tackles the theme of the correspondence between the arts and the unity of the senses. I assume the interdisciplinary posture of the Laboratory, with phenomenological, aesthetic, and psychoanalytic references, in order to examine the novel Lavoura arcaica, by Raduan Nassar, and the homonymic movie directed by Luiz Fernando Carvalho, attending mainly to the correspondence between the two records. To do that I dealt with the conditions for the emergence of the movie from the reading of the novel, I investigated the links between the two works, and then I turned my attention to the language, which made me discuss the theme of diversity and unity in the multiplicity of Lavoura arcaica.

A partir do livro ilustrado Griffin & Sabine - uma correspondência extraordinária, o artigo apresenta aspectos da clínica psicanalítica relacionados ao lugar do sonho, ao espaço potencial e às formas de linguagem discursiva e evocativa. Mostra as afinidades entre o sonho e todas as tentativas de apreensão do fenômeno humano, pelas formas artísticas e místicas de expressão. É abordada a questão da privacidade do self, da ideia de mistério e dos paradoxos.

This article is based on the book Griffin & Sabine - an extraordinary correspondence. It presents some aspects of psychoanalytical practice related to the place of dreams, to the potential space and to the evocative and discursive forms of language. It also shows the affinities between dreams and all the other attempts to apprehend human phenomena through the artistic and mystic forms of expression. This article also approaches the question of the privacy of the self, the idea of mystery and of paradoxes.

Cego de nascimento, o rádio estimula a criação de representações mentais com a sensação da simultaneidade temporal, do que vivemos, sentimos e sonhamos agora, no momento presente. Sons radiofonizados carregam o sentido da presença e nos dão a impressão de que estamos acompanhados; eles sugerem imagens que, no rádio, não se limitam ao tamanho da tela. Este artigo discute essas características das transmissões radiofônicas a partir do momento da audição de radionovelas, as soap-operas, voltando-se especialmente para a que mais fez sucesso em toda a América Latina: O direito de nascer, do cubano Félix Caignet. Combinando voz, música, efeitos sonoros e silêncio (elementos que compõem as mensagens sonoras), as radionovelas foram um fenômeno de época, mas também emissões com a adaptação de A guerra dos mundos, por Orson Welles, episódios importantes que mostram a força da palavra falada, no caso, mediatizada pelo rádio. O texto também trata da audição das transmissões atuais, da identificação de ouvintes e personagens, da mágica presença da voz separada do corpo no ritual radiofônico e da possibilidade de vivenciar outros papéis e situações, além dos habituais, o que aproxima as emissões radiofônicas do onírico.

Blind from birth, the radio encourages the creation of mental representations with the feeling of being in the same time of what we live, feel and dream now. Radio sounds carry the sense of presence and give us the impression that we are together, they suggest that pictures, radio, are not limited to the size of the screen. This article discusses radio transmissions characteristics from the time of the radio dramas, the soap operas, seeing especially the one that was a hit throughout Latin America: The right to be born, by Cuban Félix Caignet. Combining voice, music, sound effects and silence (the messages component sound), the soap operas were a phenomenon at the time. Also will be seen issues with the adaptation of The war of the worlds by Orson Welles, there were important episodes that show the strength of spoken word, in this case mediated by the radio. The text also deals with the hearing of the current broadcasts, identifying audience and characters, the magical presence of the voice separate from the body and the opportunity to experience other roles and situations, in addition to habituals, which brings the dream of radio emissions.

Baseado no livro Traumnovelle (Breve romance de sonho)de Arthur Schnitzler, o diretor Stanley Kubrick filma em 1999 seu último filme, Eyes wide shut (De olhos bem fechados). Para caracterizar cinematograficamente os diversos planos narrativos, Kubrick utiliza a música como elemento principal em suas caracterizações, em especial a diferença entre sonho e realidade, utilizando diferentes músicas e estilos musicais, tais como jazz, música oriental e contemporânea.

Based on Traumnovelle (Dream Story) by Arthur Schnitzler, the movie director Stanley Kubrick filmed in 1999 his last work, Eyes wide shut. To cinematographically characterize the various narrative plans,Kubrick uses music as the main element, especially to set the differences between dream and reality buy using different music styles, such as jazz, eastern and contemporary music.

A autora tem como questionamento a diferença entre pacientes que sonham e outros que não sabem que sonham. Freud, o trabalho do sonho, o psiquismo pelas lentes do século XIX servem de contraponto para iluminar os tempos de hoje, de indigência simbólica, de pacientes com escassas representações prontos a substituí-las por apresentações presentes nos atos do corpo e do comportamento. É a clínica da atualidade pautada em perdas da referências, perdas de elaborações, perdas de representações, perdas dos sonhos... Através de vinheta clínica a autora mostra um paciente no início de seu processo de simbolização.

The author tries to establish some differences between patients that dream and patients that do not know they dream. Freud, the work of dream, psychic work seen through the view of the XIX century is used as a counterpoint to show the patient typical of our times who lacks the capacity to symbolize. Instead, of representations, they use presentations which are detected through body-use either somatizations or behaviour. The author gives a sketch of posmodern society putting forward endless transformations which results into a different patient, a different clinic. Clinical material is used to illustrate the beginning of symbolization in a severely disturbed patient.

O autor, com base nos relatórios de J. André e de B. Chervet, em discussão no 69º Congresso de Psicanalistas de Língua Francesa, argumenta, tanto no plano clínico como metapsicológico, em favor da conveniência em se manter uma flexibilidade metapsicológica na consideração de casos borderlines de maneira a não acentuar em demasia as diferenças entre a abordagem clínica destes e a clínica considerada clássica, com pacientes neuróticos. Aponta para condições de pacientes neuróticos em que se imbricam situações que são trabalhadas com base na teoria do recalque secundário e situações de desestruturação grave, ainda que pontual, e que se aproximam de funcionamentos borderlines. A análise destes, comportando, por sua vez, momentos transferenciais ambíguos, que envolvem dificuldades primitivas do ego e manifestações pulsionais edípicas.

Based on the reports of J. André and B. Chervet discussed at the 69th Congress of French-Speaking Psychoanalysts, the author argues - both at the clinical and the metapsychological levels - in favor of the convenience of maintaining a metapsychological flexibility when considering borderline cases, so as not to overemphasize the differences between the clinical approach to such cases and the so-called classical approach for neurotic patients. He points to conditions of neurotic patients in which situations overlap and are dealt with based on the secondary repression theory and severe destructuration situations, even if occasional, which come close to a borderline functioning. The analysis of such a kind of functioning includes ambiguous transferential moments involving primitive ego difficulties and Oedipian pulsion manifestations.

O Discurso de Roma, apesar de todas as críticas que possam ser feitas, é ainda hoje um texto muito importante para estabelecer o lugar central da linguagem na psicanálise. O autor sublinha a importância atribuída por Lacan ao pensamento de M. Heidegger. O mérito deste filósofo, e particularmente de seu texto “Logos”, está em oferecer um fundamento para pensar a dimensão ontológica da linguagem que convém à psicanálise.

Despite the criticism to which it has been subjected, the Rome Discourse remains a crucial text in so far as it establishes the central place of language in psychoanalysis. The author underlines the importance attributed to Heidegger by Lacan. His point is that Heidegger and in particular his work “Logos”, offers a foundation for the ontological dimension of language that is pertinent to psychoanalysis.

O artigo lança um olhar para possíveis entrelaçamentos entre metapsicologia, psicopatologia psicanalítica, clínica e pensamento sobre a cultura tomando as compulsões como articulador clínico. Principalmente visa estabelecer algumas diferenças entre compulsões de natureza neurótica (neurose obsessiva) como descritas e analisadas por Freud e outras compulsões que obedecem a um registro dominado por severas perturbações dos processos de simbolização (passagem ao ato, adições, bulimia). Serão apontadas algumas correlações entre processos de subjetivação na modernidade com a neurose obsessiva assim como certas características da cultura pós-moderna, principalmente aquelas que parecem alterar os processos do sonhar e o caminho que leva à simbolização conduzindo para as bulimias e adições.

This paper aims to take a look at possible links between metapsychology, psychoanalytic psychopathology, clinical experience, and culture, taken compulsions as a clinical axis. Mainly aimed at establishing some differences between neurotic compulsions (obsessional neurosis) as described and analyzed by Freud and other compulsions that follow a record dominated by severe disturbances of the processes of symbolization (passage to the act, addictions, bulimia). We observed some correlations between processes of subjectivity in modernity with the obsessional neurosis as well as certain characteristics of a postmodern culture, especially those that seem to affect the processes of dreaming and the path to symbolization in bulimia and additions.
