De que são feitos os sonhos?

Desde a Antiguidade até Freud, o sonho surge como um enigma que exige ser decifrado. Para muitos autores do pensamento psicanalítico pós-freudiano em especial, Masud Khan e D. W. Winnicott, o valor psíquico do sonho vai mais além da perspectiva interpretativa. Sonhar é uma ação constitutiva, subjetivante e cujo valor como experiência independe da decifração do conteúdo do sonho. Comentários sobre A tempestade e Sonho de uma noite de verão de Shakespeare, o filme A origem dos guardiões e um caso clínico ilustram a discussão.

Since Ancient Times until Freud, dreams emerge as an enigma that demands to be deciphered. Post-Freudian authors, in particular Masud Khan and D. W. Winnicott, the psychic value of dreaming activity is beyond the interpretative perspective. Dreaming is a constitutive action, that creates subjectivity and whose value as experience is independent of deciphering the contents of the dream. The discussion is illustrated by comments about Shakespeare´s The tempest and Midsummer's night dream, Rise of the guardians movie and a clinical casework.

Da realidade psíquica ao laço social: a função de mediação do conceito de fantasia

Este artigo investiga a forma pela qual a fantasia faz a mediação entre a realidade psíquica e o laço social. O conhecimento de como a fantasia se constitui mediadora entre a realidade interna do neurótico e a realidade factual do mundo exterior é de fundamental importância, tal como Freud assinala em A interpretação dos sonhos. Nesta obra, o radical da realidade se confirma como resultado de uma distorção capaz de abordar o desejo; o que, por sua vez, situa o conceito de fantasia como um conceito basilar para a Psicanálise, ao revelar a dinâmica da formação da realidade mediante uma composição simbólico-imaginária em contraposição ao Real.

This paper investigates how the fantasy exerts a mediatory function between psychic reality and the social bonding. The knowledge of how fantasy works as a mediator between the internal reality of the neurotic and the factual reality of the outside world is of considerable importance, as referred by Freud in The interpretation of dreams. In this work, the radicalness of reality validates itself as a result of a distortion that can approach desire; which, in turn, establishes the concept of fantasy as a basic concept for psychoanalysis, by displaying the dynamics of reality formation through a symbolic-imaginary construction as opposed to the Real.

Tempo do sonho, tempo da rêverie e o terceiro-analítico

Tomando por base o relato de uma sessão de psicanálise, discute-se a dimensão temporal em psicanálise, a análise de um sonho e o trabalho associativo entre, de um lado, o analista e de outro, o paciente. Discute-se, também, a importância dessa dimensão temporal para a experiência coconstruída do terceiro-analítico.

Based on the report of a psychoanalytic session, we discuss the temporal dimension in psychoanalysis, the analysis of a dream and the associative work between analyst, in one side and patient, in the other side. We also discuss the importance of this temporal dimension for the co- -constructed experience of the analytic-third.

A dor (ou o gozo) de existir

O caso Valkiria R.

Tendo por base uma história verídica, relatada na peça O caso Valkiria R., o objetivo do artigo é pensar algumas das possíveis formas de conversão da dor psíquica em dor física que, apesar do avanço da medicalização, se fazem presentes em queixas recorrentes. É feito um recorte nas teorias de Sándor Ferenczi e Donald Winnicott, com destaque para a importância do corpo e da regressão na cena clínica, considerando-se a possibilidade de estar e de 'sentir com', no intuito de amenizar o sofrimento daquele que busca auxílio.

Based on a true story reported in the play "O caso Valkiria R.", the aim of this paper is to have a reflection about the possible ways of conversion from psychic pain into physical pain, which are present in recurring complaints, in spite of the advances in modern medicine. The idea is to approach the theories of Sándor Ferenczi and Donald Winnicott, particularly when they discuss the importance of the body and of regression in the clinical setting, considering the possibility of 'being with' and 'feeling with' as intended to relieve suffering of the one who seeks help.

Considerações sobre a formação do analista: ética, saber e transmissão

O reconhecimento internacional da Psicanálise intensificou a preocupação de Freud em expor sua técnica e em pensar a formação dos novos profissionais que iriam exercê-la. As precauções freudianas revelam a existência de um impasse no campo da técnica psicanalítica que só pode ser respondido no campo da ética. Em Lacan, o saber e o conhecimento não são mecanismos coincidentes. O artigo propõe uma discussão que coloque a formação do analista no âmbito da ética do inconsciente e da construção de um saber, e não da técnica do conhecimento.

The international recognition of Psychoanalysis intensified Freud's concern about exposing his technique and form new professionals who would practice psychoanalysis. Freudian precautions reveal the existence of an impasse in the field of psychoanalytic technique that can only be answered within the field of ethics. In Lacan's work, knowledge and learning do not mechanisms that coincide. The article proposes a discussion that places the development of the analyst within the field of the ethics of the unconscious and the building of a learning, and not in the limits of the knowledge technique.

Cuidado, maternidade e temporalidade: repensando os valores contemporâneos da eficiência

Este artigo busca refletir sobre o quanto a atenção e a preocupação com o bem estar físico e emocional do bebê transformaram o "cuidado" em fonte de angústia, frustração e invasão ao espaço delicadamente estabelecido na relação mãe-filho. Tal fato, muitas vezes, dificulta o desenvolvimento emocionalmente saudável e a capacidade do sujeito para lidar, de forma criativa, com os desafios da vida. Tendo por base a premissa de que a influência da concepção contemporânea do tempo gera tal urgência no "fazer", e que, muitas vezes, o "tempo de ser" se perde, buscamos mostrar como a crescente colonização da esfera familiar pelas chamadas "expertises" transforma a parentalidade em uma tarefa marcada pela insegurança, pela angústia e pela dívida.

This paper intends to ponder how attention and concern for the physical and emotional well being of the baby have turned "care" into a source of anxiety, frustration and invasion of the space that is gently established in the mother-child relationship. This fact often hinders the subject´s healthy emotional development as well as his ability to deal creatively with the challenges of life. Assuming that the influence of the contemporary conception of time generates an urgency to "act", we intend to show how the increasing colonization of the family spheres by "experts" transforms parenting into an experience highlighted by insecurity, anxiety and debt.

A dor de não existir: uma reflexão sobre a questão dos limites nas patologias alimentares

O artigo propõe uma reflexão acerca de aspectos teóricos e clínicos implicados nas patologias alimentares, com base na experiência de atendimento psicanalítico de três mulheres que sofrem de diferentes modalidades de transtorno alimentar. São destacados aspectos em comum, observados nessas experiências clínicas, para se pensar as seguintes questões: limites, dimensão pré-edípica e problemática edípica.

This article suggests a reflection on the theoretical and clinical aspects of eating disorders, based on the experience of psychoanalytic treatment of three women suffering from different types of eating disorders. A common ground - from which to observe those clinical experiences - is highlighted in order to approach the following topics: limits, the pre-Oedipal dimension, and the Oedipal issue.

O véu do inconsciente e a questão da angústia

Lacan evoca a noção de véu do inconsciente em paralelo à de muro da linguagem. A tese do psicanalista de que o inconsciente é estruturado como linguagem se apresenta, nesses termos, em conformidade com a seguinte lógica: assim como o véu em questão dá-se como uma alternância de significantes, também a phantasia se constituiria como uma alternação dos significantes capazes de conjugar tanto a função imaginária da castração quanto a ausência dessa função. De modo semelhante à phantasia, o agalma também compreende a função da castração. O agalma, no entanto, favorece a produção simbólica com base no acontecimento da angústia, já na phantasia afasta-se simplesmente a angústia que, posteriormente, tende a retornar no modo de sintomas.

Lacan evokes the notion of the veil of the unconscious as running in parallel with the notion of wall of language. The psychoanalyst's thesis of the unconscious - as being structured as language - is presented, in those terms, in conformity to the subsequent logic: as the veil in question occurs as an alternation of signifiers, phantasy would also present itself as an interchange of signifiers enabled to combine both the imaginary function of castration and the absence of this function. Similarly to phantasy, the agalma also comprehends the function of castration. The agalma, however, fosters the symbol production based on the occurrence of anxiety, while in phantasy occurs a mere seclusion of the anxiety, which subsequently tends to return in the mode of symptoms.

Psicanálise e Educação: do barulho à batucada

Este artigo parte de uma recapitulação dos principais comentários feitos por Freud relativos à Educação e prossegue acompanhando alguns trabalhos contemporâneos sobre o tema, nos quais os laços entre os dois campos - Psicanálise e Educação - são refeitos. Em seguida, o artigo apresenta um panorama da renovação que o pensamento de Winnicott nos oferece quanto a esta questão - tomando como eixo as noções de criatividade, espaço potencial e o brincar - e prossegue com breve relato de uma experiência de intervenção em uma escola, segundo a ótica da psicanálise. Nesta experiência, pode-se ter o vislumbre de um trabalho favorecedor de transformação nas potencialidades dos participantes da cena escolar em um espaço de encontro possível entre Psicanálise e Educação.

As a starting point this article intends to undertake a review of Freud's main commentaries concerning Education. It then proceeds by approaching some contemporary words on the subject, in which the connections between both fields - Psychoanalysis and Education - are reestablished. Subsequently the article presents an overview of the renewal proposed by Winnicott's thinking in relation to such questions assuming the notions of creativity, potential space and play as the main point. It then briefly reports an experience of intervention in a school according to the psychoanalytical point of view. Thereby we can have an initial idea of the sort of work that favors transformation in the potentiality of participants in the school scenery, in a space where the encounter between Psychoanalysis and Education is a possibility.

Uma análise psicanalítica da compulsão e da impulsão a partir da perspectiva do gozo e do ato

O artigo propõe uma compreensão e uma diferenciação dos conceitos de compulsão e impulsão a partir da perspectiva do gozo e do ato, tal como entendidos por Freud e Lacan. Nosso objetivo é refletir acerca das implicações clínicas das relações entre gozo, ato e sintoma para a direção do tratamento de pacientes que manifestam impulsões e compulsões. Pretendemos, com isso, destacar as contribuições que o psicanalista pode oferecer ao trabalho de uma equipe multidisciplinar voltada para o tratamento de transtornos alimentares.

The aim of this paper is to understand and differentiate the concepts of impulsion and compulsion from the perspective of the jouissance and the act as expounded by Freud and Lacan. Our goal is to consider the clinical implications of the relationship between jouissance, act, and symptom for the treatment direction of patients who manifest impulsions and compulsions. We intend, therefore, to highlight the contributions that can be offered by the psychoanalyst to the work of a multidisciplinary team focused on the treatment of eating disorders.
