A inserção do psicólogo no Programa Saúde da Família

Este artigo descreve o projeto de extensão Inserção do Psicólogo no Programa Saúde da Família, realizado desde agosto de 1998 junto a pacientes diabéticos e hipertensos, numa parceria entre o Departamento de Psicologia da FAFICH da UFMG e a Secretaria Municipal de Saúde de Vespasiano (MG). O PSF desenvolve ações de promoção e proteção à saúde do indivíduo, da família e da comunidade, incentivando ações coletivas e individuais baseadas, principalmente, na área de prevenção. A inserção do psicólogo na equipe busca, mediante assistência clínica, melhorar a saúde da população atendida através da atenção para com os aspectos psicológicos, tanto em termos de prevenção, quanto de tratamento, tendo a gestalt-terapia como referencial teórico. A tônica do trabalho tem sido facilitar a comunicação dos pacientes, ampliar a sua conscientização e a sua responsabilidade sobre a doença e sobre si mesmo. Também tem se configurado numa experiência positiva para os alunos envolvidos, que exercem a prática clínica num contexto comunitário.

This article describes the project The Insertion of the Psychologist in the Family Health Program (FHP), which has been carried out since August, 1998, with patients suffering from arterial hypertension and diabetes, in a partnership between the Departamento de Psicologia da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais and the Secretaria Municipal de Saúde de Vespasiano, Minas Gerais. The FHP promotes and protects the health of individuals, families and the community, encouraging individual and social actions based especially on prevention. Gestalt-therapy is the clinical approach. Psychologists are included in the team with a view to improving the health of the community through psychological treatment and prevention. The intention has been to make patients communication easier, increase their awareness and their responsibility with themselves and their disease. It also has been a positive experience for the students involved, since they gain practice in clinical psychology in the context of a community.

Identidade, alteridade e globalização: uma reflexão a partir do testemunho de Rigoberta Menchú

O artigo busca refletir - através do testemunho narrativo de Rigoberta Menchú como uma das expressões da alteridade latino-americana - as questões relativas a uma justaposição dos conceitos de identificação e identidade no contexto da globalização. Essa justaposição ofusca o discurso político da alteridade pela construção de uma racionalidade homogênea de desenvolvimento econômico, político e cultural, que, ao trabalhar com a verossimilhança de significados, interdita a enunciação de vozes locais, a partir de seus contextos posicionais.

The article tries to reflect - through the narrative certification of Rigoberta Menchú as one of the expressions of the Latin American alterity - the questions relative to a juxtaposition of the identification and identity concepts in the context of globalization. This juxtaposition dims the political speech of alterity for the construction of a homogeneous rationality of economic , cultural and politic development and, when working with the similarity of meanings cuts of the articulation of local voices from its positional contexts.

Drogas e trabalho: uma proposta de intervenção nas organizações

Neste artigo, trazemos à discussão uma proposta de abordagem ao uso de drogas (legais e ilegais) no local de trabalho. O relato da intervenção e das respectivas considerações partiu de uma assessoria prestada a uma empresa pública, de grande porte, que demandava um projeto terapêutico e preventivo para tratar do problema. Como resposta, foi desenvolvida uma política institucional específica, alicerçada no seguinte tripé: a implantação de uma rotina norteadora para a abordagem dos funcionários quanto ao uso de drogas no trabalho; o credenciamento de locais para tratamento e a criação de comitês, liderados por funcionários, que passaram a ser responsáveis pela condução do programa após o término do trabalho da assessoria. Ressaltamos a importância da participação do maior número possível de funcionários, principalmente daqueles com poder decisório para a sustentação e implementação de um Programa, bem como a necessidade de criar uma política que intervenha no instituído e que considere os âmbitos administrativo, operacional e de saúde. Assim, marca-se uma diferença em relação à forma como, até há poucos anos, vinha sendo tratado o problema, oscilando entre o descaso e a punição.

In this article we present the proposal of legal and illegal drugs use approach, at workplace. The intervention report and the respective appreciation start from an assistance work that took in a great public enterprise, which wished a therapeutic and preventive project for the problem approach. As an answer, a specific institutional policy was developed, based on the following tripod: the establishment of a guiding routine for the employees approach, concerning drug use at workplace; the inscription of treatment places and the creation of committees leaded by employees in charge of the program conduction, after the end of the assistance work. We emphasize the importance of a great number of workers in the program, specially those with power of decision, in order to maintain and implement a Program, as well as the need of creating a policy that intervenes in what is already established and that considers the administrative, the operational and the health spheres. So, a difference is established on the way the problem had been treated in the last years, oscillating between negligence and punishment.

Por uma ética na saúde: algumas reflexões sobre a ética e o ser ético na atuação do psicólogo

A ética vem sendo tema freqüente de discussão, abarcando várias instâncias da sociedade. Nas instituições de saúde são prementes as questões referentes a parâmetros e limites na intervenção sobre os seres humanos. Neste artigo, proponho pensar a ética na saúde, bem como possíveis caminhos que sustentem uma postura profissional norteada pela/para a ética.

Ethics is becoming a frequent subject of discussion, in which several instances of the society are included. In the health institutions, the subjects related to parameters and limits in the intervention on the human bings are becoming more and more noticeable.This article concerns ethics in health, as well as possible ways that sustain a professional behaviour based on and turned to ethics.

Pulsações contemporâneas do desejo: paixão e libido nas salas de bate-papo virtual

Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar as relações afetivo-sexuais mediadas pelo computador nas salas de bate-papo virtual (chats). Utiliza, como referencial teórico, autores que analisam a contemporaneidade. Investiga o pressuposto de que os internautas podem considerar os chats como um prolongamento da vida real, da identidade de um sujeito unificado ou múltiplo, ou como uma configuração interativa distinta da real. Hipotetiza que os internautas desejarão com maior freqüência levar seus relacionamentos do virtual para o real, quando considerarem essas configurações interativas equivalentes. Foram analisados 140 questionários respondidos por freqüentadores de chats. A análise dos dados corroborou tanto o pressuposto inicial quanto a hipótese levantada. Conclui-se que a ambigüidade existente entre os usuários sobre a percepção das características interacionais do chat vem causando problemas de relacionamento, sobretudo por ocasião de sua passagem do ambiente virtual para o real.

This study aimed to analyze new social interactions (affectionated/sexual) mediated by computer in Internet chat-rooms. The adopted theoretical perspective includes authors that study contemporaneous social conjuncture. It intends to analyze the presupposed idea that the internauts may consider the chat-rooms as an extension of their real life or a completely different environment. Its hypothesis is that the desire to turn virtual relationships to real is more frequent when computer users consider the two interactions as equivalent. A hundred and forty questionnaires answered by chat-room users were studied. The analysis of the data confirmed the presupposed idea as well as the hypothesis explained above. Therefore we were able to conclude that the existent ambiguity among the users about their perception of chat aspects has caused relationship problems, especially during the transference from the virtual to the real environment.

Comportamentos de agentes educativos como parte de contingências de ensino de comportamentos ao estudar

Observando sessões de estudo de crianças atendidas em agência educacional, foram identificados comportamentos de agentes educativos como comentar trabalhos realizados, identificar situações para intervir, apresentar conseqüências para estudar e intervir diante de comportamentos concorrentes ao estudar, e propriedades desses comportamentos, como freqüência, duração, latência, forma e distribuição temporal, componentes de contingências relacionadas à aquisição e manutenção de comportamentos ao estudar.

Educational agents behaviors like commenting on works done, identifying when to make an interference, presenting consequences to be kept studying and making an interference when facing other behaviors than study were identified by observing supervised studying sessions of children in an educational agency. In that behaviors it was possible to identify, too, many proprieties, like frequency, duration, latency, topography and temporal distribution, which were part of contingencies related to acquisition and maintenance of studying.

"Psicologia das raças" e religiosidade no Brasil: uma intersecção histórica

Neste artigo discutiremos como eram apreciadas as manifestações religiosas afro-descendentes pelas ciências psicológicas no Brasil, sob forte influência das teorias raciais e eugenia, na virada do século XIX-XX.

In this article we will discuss how the afro-descending religious manifestations were viewed by the psychological sciences in Brazil, under the strong influence of the racial theories and eugenics, in the turning of the XIX-XX century.

Especializações em psicologia: subsídios para uma discussão necessária

O presente trabalho discute criticamente a proposição de áreas de especialização profissional para a psicologia. Com o propósito de oferecer um quadro conceitual que possa orientar a discussão subseqüente, algumas categorias heurísticas de análise são tentativamente propostas e algumas das propostas formais e/ou informais de especialização são discutidas à luz dessas categorias. O autor considera que a ausência de uma demonstração inequívoca e epistemologicamente sólida do caráter específico e da utilidade daquelas especializações, aliada aos riscos que uma fragmentação prematura pode trazer para a profissão, indica a conveniência de se adiar o reconhecimento formal e oficial dessas propostas.

This paper discusses the proposition of professional specialization areas in psychological practices. With the aim of establishing a conceptual frame of reference for the ensuing discussion, some heuristic, analytical categories are tentatively proposed and a critical analysis of a few formal and/or informal specializations, currently under consideration within the professional milieu, are offered. The author considers that the lack of an unequivocal and epistemologically solid demonstration of the distinctiveness and utility of the proposed specializations and some undesirable effects that a premature breakup could have in the profession advise the postponement of these proposals.

Simples como uma torradeira: um estudo sobre o computador no cotidiano da nova geração

Com o objetivo de investigar a forma como crianças e adolescentes lidam com a inserção do computador e da Internet em seus cotidianos, foi realizado um estudo exploratório com sujeitos de ambos os sexos, na faixa etária de 10 a 15 anos. Para a coleta de dados foi utilizado um questionário composto de perguntas abertas enviado por e-mail. Ao material coletado foi dado um tratamento qualitativo, através das técnicas de análise de discurso. Como principais resultados, destacaram-se a naturalidade com que crianças e adolescentes lidam com o computador, a importância que este desempenha em suas vidas escolares, o prazer presente na sua interação com a máquina e, principalmente, a aversão que eles têm a escrever à mão em oposição ao grande gosto que sentem por teclar.

The aim of this study was to investigate how children and teenagers deal with the ever-growing presence of computers and the Internet in their everyday lives. With this purpose, 10 to 15 year-old male and female subjects took part in an exploratory study. In order to gather data, a questionnaire composed of discursive questions was sent to them by e-mail. The information collected was analyzed in a qualitative manner using speech analysis techniques. Among the major results, the following are worth mentioning: the simple way that children and teenagers deal with the computer, the important role it plays in their school lives, the pleasure they derive from their interaction with the machine, and, especially, the aversion they have towards writing in opposition to the great fun they feel when typing.

Modernidade e produção de subjetividades: breve percurso histórico

O trabalho problematiza uma das categorias fundadoras da psicologia - o indivíduo -, através de um aporte histórico. Primeiramente, reconhecendo os efeitos ideológicos da preeminência da representação do indivíduo como valor - oposto ou antagônico ao da sociedade - no âmbito da cultura ocidental moderna, analisa a formação dessa subjetividade individualizada na modernidade, com a definição de algumas características básicas que lhe foram dando contorno e densidade. Apresenta a modernidade como um momento específico de hegemonização da ideologia individualista, através da implantação de instituições políticas crescentemente comprometidas com os valores da liberdade e da igualdade, ou como espaço cultural global de sua afirmação. Discute, a seguir, os processos que têm marcado o conceito de indivíduo neste século, sua materialização no capitalismo organizado e, mais recentemente, no neoliberalismo, procurando destacar a retração do conceito sobre si mesmo e o conseqüente empobrecimento da vida cívica e desenvolvimento de uma cultura narcisista.

The text analyzes a founder category of psychology - the individual -, privileging a historical contribution. Firstly, recognizing the ideological effects of the individuals representation as value, in the ambit of the modern western culture, it analyzes the formation of that subjectivity individualized in the modernity, with the definition of some basic characteristics that gave it outline and density. It presents the modernity as a specific moment of hegemony of the individualistic ideology, through the implantation of political institutions, increasingly committed with the values of freedom and equality, or as global cultural space of their statement. It discusses the processes that have been marking individuals concept in this century, its consolidation in the organized capitalism and, more recently, in the neoliberalism, highlighting the impoverishment of the civic life and the development of a narcissistic culture.

Relato de pesquisa: a influência do contexto ambiental nos trabalhadores off-shore de uma plataforma petrolífera

A pesquisa contextualizou o trabalho off-shore de uma plataforma de petróleo, sob a perspectiva da Psicologia Social do Ambiente e da Proxêmica, objetivando investigar as conseqüências do confinamento no trabalho e suas relações com o stress, com as emoções e com os distúrbios do sono nos trabalhadores. A metodologia adotada foi a pesquisa qualitativa, tendo por instrumentais a entrevista semi-estruturada e a observação participante no tocante à demarcação, personalização de territórios e ao isolamento social. Concluiu-se haver pouca privacidade, invasão do espaço pessoal, indícios de stress e discriminação entre os grupos de trabalhadores.

The research contextualizes the off-shore work of a petroliferous plataform in the pespective of Social Psychology of the Environment and the Proxemica. We have chosen a qualitative methodological approach and through participant observation and half-structuralized interviews we have investigated the personalization, territories demarcation and social isolation, as well as the psychological consequences of the work in isolation conditions. We have concluded that there is invasion of personal spaces, little privacy, discrimination between groups, indications of stress, disturbance of sleep and minus feeling related to the experience of the off-shore.

Os desafios da psicologia frente à questão ecológica: rumo à complexa articulação entre natureza e subjetividade

A partir da noção de paradigmas em ciência, nota-se como homem e natureza são abordados enquanto categorias distintas. Identifica-se tal tendência com processos históricos que tendem a separar sociedade e natureza. A partir desse caminho, procura-se relacionar estas tendências aos fenômenos psicossociais encontrados na modernidade. Enquanto direção, procura-se refletir acerca dos novos paradigmas em ciência e o modo como estes implicam um novo posicionamento frente à relação homem-natureza.

Starting from the notion of paradigms in science, it is noticed as man and nature are approached as different categories. It is identified a tendency with historical processes that tend to separate society and nature. Starting from this road, the work tries to link these tendencies to the psychic and social phenomenons found in the modernity. While direction, it tries to reflect about the new paradigms in science and the way these imply a new positioning to the relationship man-nature.
