Constitution of subject, subjectivity and identity

Este artigo considera que conceitos como identidade, subjetividade e constituição do sujeito precisam de uma discussão ontológica para que possam ser verdadeiramente compreendidos. Partindo de uma perspectiva dialética de compreensão do homem e de suas relações sociais, é possível apontar que a "identidade" pode ser compreendida como constituição do sujeito, desde que seu significado esteja na direção daquilo que se faz aberto e inacabado. Nesta perspectiva, a subjetividade é uma dimensão deste sujeito, assim como a objetividade que, a partir das relações vivenciadas, se faz construtora de experiências afetivas e reflexivas, capaz de produzir significados singulares e coletivos.

This paper considers that concepts as identity, subjectivity and constitution of subject need an ontological discussion as a condition to their truly understanding. Beginning with a dialectical point of view of the understanding of man and his/ her social relationships, it is possible to indicate that "identity" can be understood as constitution of subject, of its meaning points to an open and unfinished state of affairs. On this view, subjectivity appears as a dimension of the subject, as the objectivity which, based on the experienced relations, make itself as constructing affective and reflexive experiences, producing particular and collective meanings.

Possible theological roosts of post-modern philosophies

O artigo busca detectar vestígios teológicos, especialmente agostinianos, na chamada pós-modernidade filosófica, com o intuito de trazer alguma contribuição para o debate atual sobre modernidade e pós-modernidade. Nietzsche, Heidegger, Derrida, Foucault, Wittgenstein, Dewey, Barthes, pensadores reconhecidos como arautos da Filosofia pós-moderna, levaram a efeito um profundo questionamento de antigas certezas ontológicas, epistemológicas, éticas, estéticas. Noções como mente, representação, realidade, fundamento do conhecimento, centrais na epistemologia e no projeto iluminista de modernidade, foram severamente rejeitadas em nome de uma filosofia em que as linguagens ou, mais propriamente as falas, se constituem no meio fluido da experiência na qual são igualmente constituídos os objetos e os sujeitos. Nadamais distante do que isto, do pensamento teológico fundado em verdades reveladas e, portanto, incontestáveis. No entanto, o exame de passagens das "Confissões", de Santo Agostinho, apresentadas neste artigo, revelará certas afinidades surpreendentes entre o texto agostiniano e as perspectivas pósmodernas. A questão que permanece ao final diz respeito à pretensa ruptura entre a pós-modernidade filosófica e aquele território cultural demarcado pela tradição judaico-cristã em que ainda gravita o pensamento moderno.

This article intends to detect theological vestiges, especially Augustinians, in so-called philosophical post-modernity, in order to contribute to the present debate concerning modernity and post-modernity. Nietzsche, Heidegger, Derrida, Foucault, Wittgenstein, Dewey, Barthes - philosophers that are known as representatives of post-modern philosophy, questioned in depth some ancient ontological, epistemological, ethical and esthetical certainties. Notions such as mind, representation, reality, fundaments of knowledge, that are central in epistemology and the Enlightenment's project of modernity, were severely rejected in name of a philosophy in which languages, or more properly, discourses, are constituted in the fluid midst of experience, in which objects and subjects are equally constituted. Very far from theological thought founded in revealed truths, therefore uncontested. However, an examination of passages of Augustine's "Confessions", presented in this article, certain surprising affinities between Augustinian text and the post-modern perspective come to light. It remains open to question at the end, whether there is the supposed break between philosophical post-modernity and the cultural Judeo-Christian territory around which modern thought still gravitates.

Evaluation in the higher education and teacher's work

O artigo apresenta os resultados de uma investigação que se propôs a analisar a avaliação superior no Brasil, nos últimos 20 anos, e as repercussões das práticas avaliativas no trabalho docente. Para tal, foram consultados documentos oficiais, a legislação do período e a produção escrita presente em 27 periódicos nacionais de educação. A análise desta documentação comprovou que, na universidade brasileira, podem-se localizar múltiplas práticas avaliativas, remetendo a um cenário de tensões entre concepções distintas. Verificou-se que a hegemonia na implementação de propostas de avaliação tem cabido aos aparelhos governamentais, no contexto da reforma gerencial do Estado brasileiro, para o que têm feito uso de meticulosa legislação. Ao final, são discutidos alguns efeitos da avaliação no trabalho docente, especialmente a redefinição do contexto social do conhecimento, as mudanças que vêm afetando o papel do corpo docente, as reformulações geradas no perfil institucional e nas próprias metas da universidade.

This paper presents the results of an investigation that attempted to analyze the evaluation in higher education in Brazil in the last 20 years, and the repercussions of these practices in the teachers' work, throughout the analysis of a corpus which included official documents, the legislation of the period and the papers published in 27 national scientific journals of education. The analysis of this documentation proved that, in the Brazilian university, it can be found multiple practices of evaluation, giving rise to a scenery of tensions among different conceptions. It was verified that the hegemony in this field has fallen to governmental organisms, in the context of the managerial reform of the Brazilian state, throughout meticulous legislation. At the end, some effects of evaluation in teacher's work are discussed, especially the new definitions of the social context of the knowledge, the changes that are affecting the roles of the teachers, the new formulations generated in the institutional profile and in the own goals of the university.

Fatherhood in adolescent and the risk and the protective factors for violence in father-child interaction

Este artigo apresenta uma revisão sobre a paternidade na adolescência e suas implicações para a interação entre pai e filho(a), em particular para eventuais riscos de comportamentos violentos. São abordados alguns aspectos relacionados à interação do pai adolescente com o seu filho(a) e os fatores de risco e proteção para a ocorrência de violência nesse contexto. A literatura aponta que fatores individuais, relacionais e contextuais tanto do pai como da criança podem influenciar este fenômeno. Embora alguns autores apontem para os riscos de violência em situações envolvendo a paternidade adolescente, poucos são os estudos e as evidências que apóiam esta relação. A violência é um fenômeno multidimensional e, embora a paternidade de jovens possa contribuir para o seu surgimento, diversos fatores de proteção podem coexistir, impedindo o surgimento de violência nessas situações.

This article brings a theoretical review about the adolescent fatherhood and its implications for the father-child interaction, specially the eventual risks for violent behaviors. Some topics relative to adolescent father-child interaction and risk and protective factors for violence in this interaction are discussed. Individual, relational and contextual factors of the father and the child are mentioned in the literature like possible influences in these phenomena. Although some researches found risks of violence in situations involving adolescent fatherhood, there is few studies and evidences that support this fact. The violence is a multidimensional phenomenon, and although the adolescent fatherhood can contribute to his occurrence, many protective factors can coexist, impeding the occurrence of violence in these situations.

The feminist, her mother, children and grandchildren

Com a hipótese de que o movimento feminista vive um momento de impasse, são colocadas em questão as afirmações de que ele foi vitorioso e de que o fim do patriarcalismo está próximo. Para isso, foi criada a figura abstrata de uma feminista cuja história de vida está imbricada às de suas avós, mãe, filhos e netos. Paradoxalmente, à medida que essa feminista se torna auto-suficiente, mais ela se aproxima do fracasso, presa na teia de sua incapacidade de obter ajuda, tão senhora de si parece ser.

If it is assumed that the women's liberation movements are now facing an actual impasse, then it is possible to question their successful story as well as the end of patriarchy. For the purpose of this essay, a feminist abstract figure, whose life is firmly imbricated with that of her grandmothers, mother, children and grandchildren, has then be created. Paradoxically, the more this feminist figure becomes self-sufficient, the more she risks to fail due to her incapacity to get help, so self-confident she seems to be.

Detective fiction and psychoanalytic research

O presente artigo tem por objetivo estabelecer certas convergências entre a estrutura narrativa do romance policial e certas condições metodológicas da pesquisa em Psicanálise. Procura-se, com isso, contribuir para a distinção entre a Psicanálise como método de cura e como método de investigação ou pesquisa. A convergência entre ambos os campos já foi assinalada por inúmeros autores que apontam a contemporaneidade cultural dos dois discursos em questão. Diferenças substantivas igualmente já foram traçadas. Enfatizaremos os passos da investigação levando em conta o critério de verdade, a formulação de evidências, a construção de problemas e a teoria da prova envolvida em cada um dos discursos em questão.

This paper take as an aim the proposal of some convergences between the narrative structure of the police novel and some methodological conditions of research in psychoanalysis. We try to make a contribution to the distinction between psychoanalysis as a cure method and psychoanalysis as a research or investigation method. The convergence between the two fields was pointed out by some authors whom stressed the cultural proximity between the two discourses. Important differences was still marked. We emphasized the degrees of investigation examining the truth theory, the formulation of evidences, the problem construction and the theory of judge in both discourses.
