The being-in-the-world-with-the-others and the ego’s life disturbing experiences

Este texto problematiza, a partir do conceito de “experiências desalojadoras do eu”, a condição do ser-no-mundo. Para isso, vai trabalhar com a angústia heideggeriana como o fundamento do Dasein, ou o modo do ser do homem. Inicia suas questões com experiências clínicas da autora e analisa um texto literário no qual as relações familiares são enfocadas como pano de fundo para as evidências da periculosidade da existência. Constrói uma teia de suporte teórico para a compreensão do psiquismo humano com base nas formulações de Donald Winnicott. Finalmente encerra suas elaborações apontando para o “espaço intermediário” como próprio do humano.

This paper focuses the human condition as a being-in-the-world from the perspective of “ego’s life disturbing experience”, conception developed by the author herself. Heidegger’s theory of anguish as a foundation of the notion of Dasein - or men’s mode of being - is worked on throughout the article. The clinical experiences of the author are the ground for the initial questions, and a text extracted from literature is used to analyze family relationship as a background for the evidence of existence’s hazardous. The psychoanalytic propositions of Donald Winnicott are utilized as part of the theoretical framework that supports the understanding of human’s psyche. As a conclusion it’s assumed the proposition that an “intermediate area” is proper of human condition.

From the expression of affection to the affection of expression: soap opera fans’ letters

Analisamos o conteúdo de 70 cartas endereçadas ao ator protagonista de recente telenovela. Nossa pesquisa procurou estudar as estratégias utilizadas pelos fãs e suas tentativas de singularização entre os milhares de fãs que enviam esse tipo de correspondência. Nossa investigação - que utilizou um referencial teórico pertencente a diferentes campos, tais como a sociologia, a teoria da comunicação de massa e a filosofia, além da psicologia social - mostrou a presença forte da manifestação do amor romântico, cujas características de idealização - a certeza de que este é o ideal supremo a ser conquistado e vivido por cada sujeito - emergiu “entre as linhas” do discurso da fã. A carta funciona como uma possibilidade de elaboração afetiva e de exercício de subjetividade.

We analyzed the contents of 70 letters mailed to a leading actor of a recent soap opera. Our research intended to study the strategies used by those fans in their attempt of being unique among others millions fans that send this kind of correspondence. Our investigation - that used as a theorethical frame the contributions from different areas as sociology, mass communication studies, philosophy, beyond social psychology - showed a strong manifestation of the ideal of romantic love and its components of idealization - the conviction that this is the supreme ideal that has to be conquered and lived by each one - emerging in the speech of those fans. The letter works as a possibility to elaborate their feelings and an exercise of their self.

The subject, rationality and the pedagogical speech of modernity

Este artigo estrutura sua abordagem a partir da compreensão da educação moderna como um produto das interferências iluministas, sintetizadas no que se chamou Modernidade. Racionalidade científica e metafísica da subjetividade são as referências primeiras da pedagogia moderna. A metafísica da subjetividade in-corpora o conceito de sujeito epistêmico ao processo educativo. A compreensão de um sujeito universal, dotado de razão e de suas propriedades universais e idênticas em todo o indivíduo, passa a ser o solo em que se movimentam as teorias pedagógicas. O processo educativo, influenciado pela racionalidade científica, é cercado pela pedagogia do método e das técnicas de ensino como forma de assegurar a apropriação, pelo sujeito epistêmico, dos conteúdos culturais reproduzidos pela escola. Em sua abordagem, o presente estudo busca, no pensamento de Kant, Rousseau e Herbart, os conteúdos estruturantes do discurso pedagógico moderno, embora reconheça que ele não possua uma unidade interna. Os vínculos entre a compreensão de sujeito e de racionalidade e a formulação de um discurso pedagógico para que a educação possa dar conta das tarefas que recebeu da modernidade se apresentam como objeto deste estudo.

This article is structured upon the comprehension of modern education as a product of Iluminist interferences, synthesized in what we called Modernity. Scientific rationality and subjectivity metaphysics are the first reference of modern pedagogy. Subjectivity metaphysics incorporates the concept of epistemological subject to educational process. The comprehension of a universal subject, who owns a reason, and its universal and identical properties in every individual, becomes the ground on which pedagogical theories move. The educational process, influenced by scientific rationality, is surroundded by methodological pedagogy and teaching techniques as a way to assure the appropriation, by the epistemological subject, of the cultural contents reproduced by the school. In its approach, the present study searches in Kant’s, Rousseau’s and Herbart’s thoughts, the structural contents of the modern pedagogical speech, although it recognizes that it doesn’t present, in itself, an internal unity. The links between the compprehension of subject and the building of a pedagogical speech for the education to accomplish the tasks it got from modernity, are presented as object of this study which places itself in the field of philosophy of education.

Episodes of joint attention in a free play situation

O objetivo deste estudo foi verificar a freqüência de episódios de atenção conjunta em um contexto de brinquedo livre, em função do gênero da criança, observando as verbalizações utilizadas pelas mães para manter ou redirecionar a atenção da criança para um dado evento do contexto. Características individuais infantis, como o gênero, foram apontadas como um dos responsáveis por variações na duração de atenção conjunta durante contextos de troca lingüística. Participaram desse estudo 16 díades mãecriança, distribuídas igualmente quanto ao gênero. As díades foram filmadas em ambiente natural, durante vinte minutos, em uma situação de brincadeira livre. As freqüências de episódios de atenção conjunta foram separadas e quantificada/s por meio do contador de tempo do próprio videotape. Os resultados indicaram que não houve diferença significativa nas freqüências dos episódios de atenção conjunta das díades mãesmeninos e mãesmeninas. Esses resultados foram discutidos, considerando os contextos nos quais as interações ocorreram.

The objective of this study has been to verify the frequency of the episodes of Joint Attention in a free play situation, in relation to the gender of the child, looking at the type of verbalizations utilizated by the mothers to mantain or redirect the attention of the child in context. Individual children characteristics such as gender were pointed as responsible for variation in the interaction style. Participated in this study sixteen motherschild dyads equally distribuited in terms of gender. The dyads were recorded in natural environment for 20 minutes, in a free play situation. The frequences of Joint Attention episodies has been separated and quantificated using the VCR’s own counter. Moreover, it was verified that there isn’t significant difference in the episodies of the Joint Attention between dyads mothersboys and mothersgirls. These results were discussed considering the context in wich the interaction occurred.

The place of beliefs and societal expectations in the formation of political consciousness among workers and landless rural workers

O presente artigo procura entender o lugar das crenças e valores societais na formação da consciência política de trabalhadores e trabalhadoras sem-terra vinculados ao Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem-terra - MST. Para tanto, lançamos mão de dados recolhidos em acampamento de sem-terra situados em São Paulo. Nossa análise dos dados pautou-se no modelo analítico da Consciência Política proposto pelo psicólogo político Salvador Sandoval e na Teoria Social do self, de George Herbert Mead. Participaram deste estudo seis famílias de acampados do MST.

The present paper tries to understand the place of the beliefs and societal expectations in the formation of political consciousness of workers and rural landless workers attached to the Movement of Landless Rural Workers - (Movimento dos Trabalhadores Sem-terra - MST). For that, data were collected in the landless workers’ acampamentos located in the state of São Paulo. The data analysis was accomplished taking into account the analytical model of Political Consciousness proposed by the political psychologist Salvador Sandoval and George Herbert Mead’s Social Theory of the self. Six MST encamped families participated in the study.

Reflections about the creation and closure of a day-hospital in the psychiatric reform in São Paulo

Este trabalho tem como objetivo relatar o processo de criação, funcionamento e fechamento de um Hospital-Dia da rede pública estadual, situado na cidade de São Paulo, que há dez anos vinha oferecendo atendimento de qualidade a psicóticos, neuróticos graves e seus familiares, segundo todos os critérios exigidos pela reformulação da assistência psiquiátrica no país: desospitalização, integração do usuário à comunidade e ressocialização, por meio de intervenção em equipe multiprofissional centrada em uma visão multidisciplinar da doença mental. Além da intenção de deixar registradas a indignação e a perplexidade diante do desmantelamento de um equipamento que vinha funcionando bem, é interesse deste artigo analisar os efeitos paradoxais das políticas públicas de saúde mental no Brasil, situando-os nas linhas de força clínico-políticas mais amplas que constituíram a configuração atual do campo psiquiátrico.

The aim of this work is to give an account of the creation, running as well as the closure of a public state’s government’s Day-Hospital, located in São Paulo City, which had been offering assistence of quality to psychotics, severe neurotics and their relatives, according to all criteria required by the Psychiatric Assistence Reform in the country: dehospitalization, the user’s integration with the community and resocialization, through a multidisciplinary staff’s intervention focused on a mental illness multidisciplinary outlook. Apart from having the intention of registering the indignation and perplexity face the dismantling of a piece of equipment which had been working properly, this article is interested in analizing the paradoxal effects of the public mental health policies in Brazil, placing them in the broader strenght lines which formed the present psychiatric area configuration.

La crisis financiera argentina leída desde la política y la historia

El pueblo argentino está escribiendo - desde de diciembre de 2001 - una nueva historia. Es la historia que lo tiene como protagonista de la resistencia a los abusos de poder por parte de gobernantes que desde hace más de un cuarto de siglo no lo han tenido en cuenta, ya que prefirieron satisfacer los apetitos de los grupos financieros internacionales por sobre las legítimas demandas de la comunidad.

A new history is being written since December, 2001 by the argentinians. They are the opposition against the main aspects of government abuse of power, or overcommanding. The government have ignored the people for more than twenty five years, since they have been satisfying the international finantial groups over the peoples legitimate requirements.
