A revista Psicologia: Ciência e Profissão: um registro da história recente da Psicologia brasileira

A trajetória da Revista Psicologia: Ciência e Profissão, do Conselho Federal de Psicologia, é analisada, no contexto das comemorações de seus 25 anos, evidenciando o processo de transformação que a levou a ser avaliada como periódico de nível A pela CAPES, em 2000, acompanhando as transformações teóricas e práticas da Psicologia no Brasil, atingindo, assim, a excelência em seu campo de atuação. Seu percurso é analisado a partir de dados das seguintes partes da revista: capa, contra-capa, editorial, ficha técnica, sumário, seções e temas dos artigos, utilizando como fontes todos os números publicados entre 1979 e 2004 (56 exemplares). Psicologia: Ciência e Profissão revela-nos os psicólogos como profissionais que escutam a sociedade onde vivem, produtores de práticas que têm, cada vez mais, referência nesta sociedade. Nesses 25 anos, a revista registrou a produção de uma nova identidade para a Psicologia brasileira, construída a partir tanto do diálogo com os diversos campos de atuação quanto da produção de outros olhares sobre esses diversos campos, mostrando como a profissão se deslocou de uma posição mais elitista para uma outra comprometida com a ampliação dos espaços de atuação do psicólogo junto a camadas desprivilegiadas da população brasileira, conhecida como de um maior compromisso social.

The periodical Psicologia: Ciência e Profissão (Psychology: Science and Profession), edited by the Federal Council of Psychology, has been surveyed, in its 25 years of existence, providing evidence for the process of transformation that led it to be evaluated as a level A periodical by CAPES (the Brazilian Ministry of Education Agency) in 2000, thus being considered a leading source of information on Brazilian Psychology, distinguished for its excellence. Its journey is analyzed using as sources the following parts: cover, back-cover, editorial, technical records, table of contents, sections and subjects of the articles. All editions published between 1979 and 2004 were examined, covering 56 numbers. The periodical reveals Brazilian psychologists as professionals who listen to the society they live in and who create relevant practices for this society. Along these 25 years, the review registered the building of a new identity for Brazilian Psychology, stemming from the discussion about its various fields of application and from the production of different views on these fields as well, showing how the profession moved from an elitist position to another one, based on a compromise to enlarge the offering of psychological services to wider parcels of the Brazilian population, thus increasing the social relevance of the profession.

Depressão e neoliberalismo: constituição da saúde mental na atualidade

Tendo em vista o grande número de indivíduos acometidos por depressão nos dias atuais, este estudo objetiva contribuir para a compreensão desse fenômeno ao buscar relações existentes entre o mesmo e o neoliberalismo, modelo político-econômico em vigência, por meio de um referencial psicanalítico e histórico-social. Tem, também, como propósito uma reflexão sobre a prática do psicólogo. Para isso, realizou-se uma análise acerca da atuação dos fatores sociais na constituição da saúde mental dos indivíduos.

Having in mind the great number of individuals suffering from depression in the present days, the goal of this study is to contribute for the comprehension of this phenomenon looking for a relationship between depression and neoliberalism, a political-economic model of our days, through psychoanalytical and historic-social referentials. It also points out a consideration about the practical assistance of the psychologist. For this purpose, an analysis was carried out in order to know how the social factors can influence the constitution of the individual mental health.

(Des)Reterritorializando o espaço-tempo da loucura: uma genealogia espacial

Intenta-se, através deste trabalho, dar visibilidade à genealogia do prédio histórico do Hospital Psiquiátrico São Pedro, localizado em Porto Alegre (Brasil). Intriga-nos e nos impulsiona o questionamento referente ao espaço atual da loucura: o que se fez e o que se faz de um dos prédios que, por mais de século, hospedou a loucura porto-alegrense? Qual é o espaço que hospedou e o que passará a hospedar os loucos na cidade?

Through this work we intend to give the Psychiatric Hospital São Pedro (Porto Alegre, Brazil) historical building genealogy some visibility. The questioning related to the present madness space intrigues and encourages us: what has been done and what is being done about one of the buildings that has housed the mad people of Porto Alegre for over a century? What space has housed and what will house the mad people in the city from now on?

A concepção de violência segundo atores do cotidiano de uma escola particular: uma análise psicológica

O objetivo desta pesquisa foi verificar as concepções de violência escolar da equipe pedagógica, dos auxiliares de disciplina e de um grupo de estudantes de uma escola particular na Grande Vitória e analisar como lidam com a violência nesse espaço. A maioria dos entrevistados vê a violência na escola sob dois aspectos: o físico e o verbal. As causas da violência na escola foram relacionadas primeiramente à família desestruturada e ao ambiente em que o aluno ou a escola está inserido, o que indica uma visão pouco crítica das dinâmicas tecidas dentro da escola.

The objective of this work is to check the concepts of school violence among the members of a private school, in Vitória, and to analyze how they deal with violence. The majority of them take into account two aspects of school violence: the physical and the verbally expressed ones. The family which does not follow socially-acceptable parameters has been pointed out as the main cause of school violence; second, comes the enviroment in which the student lives or where the school is located, which shows the little importance attached to activities developed within the school building.

A violência sexual em nossos dias: questões para a psicanálise

O presente texto analisa o tema do abuso sexual buscando trazer, inicialmente, as contribuições teóricas de Freud e de Lacan. Em seguida, são relatados quatro casos clínicos, visando demonstrar a contemporaneidade do tema e explanar alguns impasses clínicos e necessários encaminhamentos.

This text analyses the topic of sexual abuse aimming to bring Freud and Lacan's theoretical contributions to understand it. Four cases studies will be presented in order to demonstrate that this is a contemporary subject and to explain some clinical deadloks and necessary clinical interventions.

Necessidades de saúde psicológica em crianças com deficiência mental

O encaminhamento de crianças com deficiência mental para o psicólogo provém, sobretudo, da preocupação com a adequação de suas condutas às expectativas sociais em detrimento de sua saúde mental e seu bem-estar. Neste trabalho, buscou-se identificar necessidades de saúde psicológica em crianças com deficiência mental, com indicação prévia de psicoterapia, para posterior análise do preparo do psicólogo para atender essas necessidades. A pesquisa foi realizada em escola especial pertencente à rede pública, na cidade de Aracaju. A amostra foi constituída por sete crianças, de sete a dez anos de idade, de ambos os sexos, com escolaridade correspondente à pré-alfabetização. Utilizou-se a observação participante para a coleta de dados, sistematizados por meio de análise de conteúdo. No grupo estudado, os resultados apontaram para a prevalência das necessidades de amor e pertencimento, seguida das necessidades de crescimento, dentro da hierarquia das necessidades humanas básicas descritas por Maslow.

The leading of children who have mental deficiency to a psychologist comes above all from the concern towards their behavior fitting the social expectations, detrimentally to their mind health and their well-being. In this paper it was sought the identication of the psychological needs for mental deficient children with previous advised psychotherapy, aiming at a post analysis concerning the psychologist preparation to fill those requirements. This research took place at a special public school in Aracaju, Sergipe . The sample was made up by seven children, ages 7 to 10, male and female, with pre-literacy schooling. It was used the participating observation for data gathering, which were systemized according to the content analysis technique. In the group searched results pointed to the prevailing of love and belonging needs, followed by the needs of growth inside the hierarchy of the basic human needs as described by Maslow.

"A vida é mais forte do que as teorias" o psicólogo nos serviços de atenção primária à saúde

O artigo traz uma reflexão acerca do papel e da função do psicólogo nos serviços de atenção primária à saúde a partir da apresentação de relatos da bibliografia sobre a atuação desse profissional em unidades básicas de saúde (UBS) e no Programa de Saúde da Família (PSF). Mostra exemplos concretos de atuação a partir de vários referenciais teóricos da Psicologia. Discorre sobre a formação do psicólogo, ainda eminentemente clínica e de caráter elitista, com pouco enfoque nas questões de saúde pública do País e na necessidade de se repensar o ensino em função das demandas e necessidades da população.

The article brings the reflection about the role and function of the psychologist in the primary health care services based on the presentation of reports of the bibliography about the actuation of this professional in health basic units and in the Family Health Program. It shows examples of the acting in several theoretical references of Psychology. It reasons about the psychologist formation, still primarily clinic with elitist character and little focus in the public health questions in the country and about the need of rethinking the teaching in function of the needs and necessities of the population.

Comprovando a hipótese do compromisso convencional: influência dos pares socionormativos sobre as condutas desviantes em jovens

As explicações sobre as condutas dos adolescentes têm sido relacionadas às diferenças individuais e psicossociais, porém, o foco na dinâmica funcional e estrutural da família vem pretendendo explicar esse fenômeno com maior consistência. Neste trabalho, procura-se avaliar a relação entre identidade com os pares socionormativos (pai, mãe e professores) e as condutas anti-sociais e delitivas. 901 jovens das cidades de João Pessoa e Palmas, entre 15 e 21 anos, de ambos os sexos, responderam a escala de condutas anti-sociais e delitivas e da identidade com pares socio-normativos (pai, mãe e professores).Foi encontrada uma correlação direta entre identidade com o pai, mãe e professor; por sua vez, esses pares relacionaram-se negativamente com ambas as condutas. A identificação com o pai, mãe e professores, além de contribuir para formação social e normativa dos jovens, contribuirá para o contínuo escola-família em direção a um fator de proteção juvenil.

The explanation about youngsters has been related to individual and psychosocial differences. However, the target in the functional and structural dynamic of the family tries to explain this phenomenon in a more consistent way. This work has the objective of evaluating the relation between identifications with the social-normative peers (father, mother and teachers) and the delictive and antisocial conducts. 901 youngsters from João Pessoa and Palmas, from 15 to 21 years old, male and female, answered the scale of antisocial and delictive conduct and also the social-normative identification peers scale(father, mother and teachers), but those groups had a negative relation with both conducts. The identification of youngsters with father, mother and teachers, besides contributing to the social and normative formation of youngsters, will also contribute to the family-school continuum towards a juvenile protection factor.

Trabalhadores em saúde mental: relações entre práticas profissionais e bem-estar físico e psicológico

Este estudo investiga o impacto da reforma psiquiátrica no bem-estar físico e psicológico dos trabalhadores de saúde mental. Participaram 201 trabalhadores em saúde mental de hospitais psiquiátricos e serviços substitutivos de Goiânia. Foram analisadas as correlações entre adesão ao modelo teórico de atenção em saúde mental (biológico versus psicossocial), satisfação com atividades desempenhadas, local de trabalho, tempo de serviço e carga horária trabalhada com o bem-estar físico e psicológico dos trabalhadores. Constatou-se que os trabalhadores que mais aderem ao paradigma biológico e estão mais satisfeitos com as atividades desempenhadas são os que apresentam os níveis mais altos de bem-estar físico e psicológico. Esses resultados são discutidos enfatizando-se a importância desse tipo de análise para a consolidação da reforma psiquiátrica no Brasil.

This article investigates the impact of the psychiatric reform approaches on mental health workers' physical and psychological well-being. The participants were 201 mental health workers who were working in psychiatric hospitals and substitutive services in Goiânia. It was analyzed the correlation between the adhesion to the mental health theoretical model (biological versus psychosocial), workers' satisfaction with their professional activities, local of work (substitutive services versus psychiatric hospitals), time of work, working hours per day and the psychological and physical well-being. It was found that workers that were highly identified with the biological paradigm and were highly satisfied with their professional activities have presented the highest levels of well-being. These results are discussed emphasizing the importance of this kind of analyses for the consolidation of the psychiatric reform in Brazil.

As oficinas na saúde mental: relato de uma experiência na internação

O presente artigo trata da atividade das oficinas na internação psiquiátrica. Parte de uma breve explanação sobre a reforma psiquiátrica e discute a mudança no lugar social do psicótico, de excluído a cidadão. As oficinas terapêuticas, como parte das novas modalidades de atendimento no tratamento desses sujeitos, têm a função psicossocial aliada à clínica. Sua proposta é a expressão da singularidade e subjetividade dos sujeitos psicóticos, num espaço de convivência, criação e reinvenção do cotidiano na enfermaria psiquiátrica. O posicionamento do coordenador de oficinas será também aqui abordado, considerando-se as características da psicose e as peculiaridades no seu manejo. Serão relatadas as experiências das oficinas de letras e de salão de beleza, realizadas no Hospital Raul Soares, de Belo Horizonte.

This present article deals with the workshop activities at the psychiatric entering. It starts with a brief explanation about psychiatric reform and tells about the changing of the psychotic in the social place, from a socially excluded person into a citizen. The therapeutic workshops along with the new modalities of attendance in the treatment of these citizens have both psychosocial and clinical roles. Their purpose is the expression of the singularity and subjectivity of the psychotic citizens, in a place of creation and reinvention of the daily routine at the psychiatric infirmary. This article will also deal with the positioning of the workshops coordinator, taking into consideration the characteristics of psychosis and the peculiarities in its handling. The experiences in the text and beauty parlor workshops, held at the Raul Soares Hospital, in Belo Horizonte, will be described.

"A psicologia no Provita: trajetórias da subjetividade e cidadania"

Este artigo versa sobre o lugar da Psicologia no Programa de Proteção a Vítimas e Testemunhas Ameaçadas - PROVITA - numa perspectiva de território e espacialidade. Esse tema possui um caráter altamente dinâmico e cotidianamente atravessado por outras questões. Nesse sentido, torna-se também premente uma Psicologia atenta aos temas centrais que atualmente estão postos, como a cultura da violência e os rebatimentos dessas práticas na subjetividade contemporânea. Este artigo busca, ainda, trazer a heterogeneidade dos processos que atravessam o cotidiano do Programa com o objetivo de demonstrar a necessidade de uma Psicologia transversal e que estabeleça interlocução junto a outras áreas do conhecimento. Nos dias de hoje, uma prática profissional isolada não dá conta de responder questões acerca da complexa subjetividade humana, sendo imprescindível a participação de outros olhares na compreensão do ser humano.

The article reports the Psychology performance underlying the Protection of Victims and Threatened Witnesses Program - PROVITA- in the context of territory and space. This issue comprises a highly dynamic process and is commonly immersed within other questions. Therefore a careful Psychology attendance is required according to the central themes such as the culture of violence and the reverberations of this practice in the contemporary subjectivity. This article also brings up the heterogeneity of the questions routinely found in the Program what demonstrates the necessity of transversal Psychology strategies interacting with other areas of knowledge. Currently an isolated professional support does not give answers the complex human subjectivity, what makes absolutely necessary the contribution of other points of view for the human being comprehension.
