The effects of Self-Recording on the Generality of Parenting Behaviors

Generality of parenting skills was programmed as well as assessed using the technique of self-recording from audiotapes. A multiple baseline across problematic situations was replicated with two single-parent families. Self-recording was introduced in one situation at a time, while audio taped assessments were conducted in three situations throughout the day. A combination incentive plus cost system was used to encourage the recording and coding of tapes. Parent and child behaviors changed in the desired directions after self-recording was directly introduced. In addiction, generality effects were clear in all response categories except descriptive praise. As the number of codings increased, greater behavior changes were evident in both targeted and non targeted situations.

Um sonho de final de mestrado ou a transferência e o saber na institucionalização da psicanálise

Pretende-se, nesse ensaio, problematizar as relações que se estabelecem ao longo do processo histórico de institucionalização da psicanálise, entre a transferência e o saber. Modus operandi da clínica psicanalítica, a transferência produz efeitos bem mais complexos e de difícil manejo quando instalada no âmbito das instituições psicanalíticas, ou seja, nas relações tecidas entre os psicanalistas e seus pares, mestres, teorias e rituais que compõem o processo de formação psicanalítica - o que o autor ilustra por meio da análise de um sonho referente ao processo de elaboração do seu mestrado. Nesse contexto, assiste-se à produção de sintomas presentes no campo psicanalítico que configuram autênticos núcleos de resistência à própria psicanálise.

In this essay, it is intended to problematize the relationships, established throughout the historical process of institutionalization of psychoanalysis, between transference and knowledge. Modus operandi of the psychoanalytic clinic, transference produces much more complex effects and of difficult management when installed in the scope of psychoanalytic institutions, that is, in the relationships weaved among psychoanalysts and their peers, masters, theories and rituals that compose the process of psychoanalytic formation. The author leans on the analysis of a dream that is referred to his ongoing master’s program dissertation to demonstrate the way transference is likely to trespass the strict limits of the therapeutic relationship, reverberating in the psychoanalytic field. In this context, it is experienced the production of symptoms that configure authentic cores of resistance to psychoanalysis itself.
