Abstract

FORTES, Isabel  and  CUNHA, Eduardo Leal. Hallucination and delirium in Freud´s work: production of desire. Cad. psicanal. [online]. 2012, vol.34, n.26, pp.145-158. ISSN 1413-6295.

In this article we examine the concept of hallucination in freudian theory to show how this notion points out the positivity of the desire as a possible experience outside the realm of representation. We resume Freud's metapsychologycal description of the hallucinatory experience - particularly the economic register - showing its relation to motor discharge and to the perception system; and the link between hallucination, fantasy and desilusion, as well as between hallucinatory experiences and processes related, both mechanisms connecting the drive to representations and ways of relating to reality and the Other.

Keywords : Hallucination; desire; dream; fantasy.
