Abstract

BICHUETTI, Luciana Pontes. The winnicottian contributions to the clinic with adolescents: Patrick's case and the resumption of the maturational processes in adolescence. Cad. psicanal. [online]. 2018, vol.40, n.39, pp.67-90. ISSN 1413-6295.

The purpose of this article is to show some Winnicottian conceptions related to the clinic with adolescents. It is known that the demand for psychological treatment of adolescents for the treatment of various psychiatric disorders or difficulties related to violence, excessive consumption of alcohol and drugs, and suicide has increased. One question stands out from this scenario: Is it possible to use the favorable aspects of the psychoanalytic setting to help adolescents in this complex and difficult transition phase between childhood and adulthood? From the Patrick case it will be possible to see how the psychoanalytic process carried out by Winnicott made possible the remission of symptoms and the resumption of maturation.

Keywords : Winnicott; The case of Patrick; Adolescence; Process of maturation.
