Abstract

MARTINS, Lincoln Coimbra  and  LUZ, Iza Rodrigues da. School culture and indiscipline: the search for collective solutions. Psicol. educ. [online]. 2010, n.30, pp.43-56. ISSN 1414-6975.

The present research sought to analyze the culture of a school from the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte and its relationship with episodes of student indiscipline. The study was carried out in two different moments: 1st - group listening to teachers, staff, board, and students of the school; and 2nd - Application of questionnaire on organizational culture. The results evinced that the students' indiscipline was related to several other aspects from the very functioning of the school. From the reflection made along teachers and board, the researches asked them to point out possible solutions. There were suggested changes on the observable aspects that could enhance the communication process, the management form and the decision making process.

Keywords : indiscipline; school; school culture.
