Abstract

There have been lots of reports of drug addicts who succeeded in getting free form dugaddiction due to a new commitment to religion. The following work aims at studying the psychological mechanisms that are present in these drug addicts who search for a solution for drug abuse through the excessive link to a religious institution. One of the hypotheses is the presence of a necessity of being dependant on something, which is probably the strongest characteristic of the drug addict. This paper methodology consists on reports from psychoanalytical papers.
