Abstract

QUINTANA, Jacqueline Feltrin. The relationship between hypertension with other risk factors for cardiovascular disease and treatment for cognitive behavioral psychotherapy. Rev. SBPH [online]. 2011, vol.14, n.1, pp.03-17. ISSN 1516-0858.

This Study aimed to identify risk factors such as anxiety, depression, personality and quality of sleep, its influence on the origin of hypertension, its influence on treatment and control alternatives, exposure and disease that alters the dynamics of risk and control in health. It was found by studying the patient's cardiovascular reactivity with hypertension, in situations of interpersonal stress, varies depending on the level of stress in finding and also depending on their personality traits.Among the risk factors for hypertension are: Anxiety, depression ,personality and quality of sleep. Research indicates that the Training Stress Control (TCS) and cognitive behavioral therapy to be effective in treating anxiety and depression, also in the modulation of cardiovascular.
