Abstract

This article has stemmed from a doctorate research, about the fatherhood in the Brazilian legal discourse, developed from the perspective of gender and Psychology, linked to Michel Foucault’s propositions and proposed to approach the theme of fatherhood, mainly on the topic about Law matters, making an intersection between Psychology and Law showing, this way, the political and social dimensions of fatherhood normalization produced by law. It is based on ideas contained in some of Foucault’s works, discussing questions regarding the way fatherhood’s thuth is produced by legal discourse. Among results, there are uses and effects of technical and scientific arguments in the dialogue between legal discourse and other discourses, such as Medicine and Psychology.
