Abstract

This article that results from a dissertation, seeks to analyze how political participation in the Florianópolis Free Pass Movement construe the formation of subjects, identified in the meanings they attribute to the movement which, in turn, is constituted by these subjects. In order to analyze the processes of meaning around this militancy, unstructured interviews were used, with a guiding script, which were held individually with five militants. The analysis of this study indicated significant mediators in the construction of interest in political participation, showed that the style of activism, marked by the characteristics of new social movements, was meant to appeal to political participation, and finally, we noted that the militants of the Free Pass Movement allowed the subject to build new ways to relate with others and with himself.
