Abstract

RIBEIRO, Julyanna de Melo; OLIVEIRA, Érika Cecília Soares  and  FERNANDES, Saulo Luders. A research with dusty feet: memories of rural women. Rev. psicol. polít. [online]. 2023, vol.23, n.56, pp.115-130.  Epub May 27, 2024. ISSN 2175-1390.

This article starts from the writing of a rural woman’s life, understood from the decolonial theories and the subaltern feminisms. It is the interlacing of the speaker’s and the researcher’s memories that bring narratives about their subalternized existences and the breaches made by them in the everyday relationships with their rural territories, comprehended as places of singular and heterogeneous production of ways of life and alterity. The methodology used was the history of life and, from that, it was possible to give occasion to little conversations with dona Odete, owner of a goats farming place in the Agreste of Alagoas. In the horizontality of the meetings, it was possible to understand the rural reality as a place pregnant of oral narra-tives and collective work bonded to the cycles of nature, where the knowledges produced by women circulate through the generations.

Keywords : Subaltern feminisms; Ruralities; Rural women; Social psychology; Rural psychology.
