Abstract

VERDI, Marly Terra. Bondings: antidote to solitude. Rev. SPAGESP [online]. 2010, vol.11, n.2, pp.17-23. ISSN 1677-2970.

The present paper discusses the importance of the bondings in the whole course of life. It points the initial period in baby’s life and the building of bonding with his/her mother as the base for the capacity for relationships. Furthermore, it proposes the oedipal experience in childhood as a possibility of construction and expansion of the bonding network. It develops how it is being transformed without losing its importance throughout the whole course of human experience and discusses the particularities of each period of life: adolescence, adulthood and old age, characterizing the extending or closure of this bonding network on their possible mishaps. It proposes the internal capacity for bonding as the true antidote to solitude.

Keywords : Human development; Bonding; Solitude; Psychoanalysis.
