The attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) together with dyslexia are main cause to schools fallen and are present at 7% of childrens in Brazil. Since the 1908s the ADHD diagnosis has been interpreted as a neuropsychiatric disease that appears in childhood and persists into adulthood. Nowadays, the ADHD is described by international medical authorities as a serious public health problem. In this review we proposing new insights about the different neurobiological aspects from this disturb. Based on this finding, this study performed a selective review of the most significant researches in order to reproduce an update on neurobiological profile from ADHD. All articles used in this study were obtained from Medline, Sciencedirect and Scielo databases. In conclusion, all studies showed that different professional groups beliefs in the various sources to ADHD, however, they unknowns the actual diagnosis procedure or adequate treatments. Thus, it is very important be performed a trainee and information programs on ADHD for all people (parents, professional groups and patients) involved in this disturb. © Cien.
