Abstract
SANTIAGO, Ana Lydia and NEVES, Libéria. Theatrical games and school failure: A proposal of clinical and pedagogical intervention under psychoanalytical orientation. Arq. bras. psicol. [online]. 2008, vol.60, n.2, pp.75-89. ISSN 1809-5267.
This works presents the partial results of a clinical and pedagogical research-intervention carried out with children in a situation of school failure. Based on the complaints of learning difficulties identified by the teaching staff, a program of weekly meetings using theatrical games was elaborated for a period of one year. In choosing the games, the stimulation of cognitive functions involved in the learning processes was prioritized - which characterizes a pedagogical intervention. In addition issues concerning the participant children’s subjectivity in relation to their school difficulties were also approached - which characterizes a clinical intervention. The analysis of the material and of the intervention effects was based on the psychoanalysis contribution. It was possible to verify that the use of the theatrical games in the education scope may represent a pedagogical and therapeutical practice for school failure. The present work describes one of the six cases studied.
