This article discusses the concept of stabilization in psychoses, using the lacanian psychoanalytic theory. It seeks, using certain lacanian texts and some other readings, to reach the core of this concept's specificity in psychoanalysis, its possibilities and limits. Thus, it begins with the study of stabilization refered to the construction of a stabilized reality, through analysis of Schreber stabilization scheme, and introduces a way of thinking the work of stabilization beyond the significant dimension. Ends with the presentation of what Maleval names as the quaternary logic of delusion, which would be at stake in the delusional effort to convey stabilization.
