Abstract

VORCARO, Angela Maria Resende  and  GUIMARAES, Marcela Rêda. Lacan, a reader of Klein: from the reading of the Kleinian clinical approach with "Dick" to the lacanian theorization. Gerais, Rev. Interinst. Psicol. [online]. 2014, vol.7, n.2, pp.208-219. ISSN 1983-8220.

The present article intends to revisit the Dick case, in order to point out some implications of the Kleinian clinical approach based on excerpts from Lacan's seminars that relate to same. We use Klein's article, "The importance of symbol-formation in the development of the ego" (1930/1996), as an outset for the discussion, as well as some passages from Lacan's Seminars 1 (1953-4/1986), 3 (1955-6/1988), 6 (1958-9/2013) and 11, aiming to grasp both the approximations and divergences between these psychoanalysts. We recover the theory used by Klein to situate the child's mental condition and also the clinical newspaper clippings of the case. Finally, we retake Lacan's reading of the aforementioned case with the purpose of discussing the different conceptions of language present in both authors.

Keywords : Child psychopathology; Klein; Lacan.
