Abstract

FINGER, Luciana Mara  and  COSTA, Paulo José da. Death staging life? The fooliness of the constitution of the subjects and of civilization. Trivium [online]. 2020, vol.12, n.2, pp.114-132. ISSN 2176-4891.  https://doi.org/10.18379/2176-4891.2020v2p.114.

In this essay we present the dialectic between considerations the finitude of life, the emergence of civilization and of the subjects. Stand out nuances in which death appears in the Freudian discourse, in shades not always evident, relating to the totemism, abandonment of narcissism and the castration complex. This kaleidoscope that presents itself, it enables thinking to death on more than a biological fact, unveiling tensions between the impulses of life and of death, whose brands of symbolic death are the constitutional emptiness, the individuals position in the order of desire and, consequently, their foundation.

Keywords : Death; Psychoanalisis; Civilization; Subjects.
