We seek to problematize the relationship between Freudian and Lacanian psychoanalysis, on one hand, and the philosophy of Deleuze and Guattari, on the other, through the issue of animality. We start from the Freudian case 'Wolf Man' to build the idea that different conceptions of language and subjectivity posed by the two lines of thought allow us different ways of thinking about the relationship between humans and animals and, consequently, between nature and culture. We found that the differences in theoretical contributions lead to distinct ways of conceiving subjectivity.
