Abstract

MENDONCA, Maria Cristina de Azevedo. The interventions in the therapeutic residences: what does the psychoanalysis have to say on that clinic?. Estud. psicanal. [online]. 2007, n.30, pp.103-111. ISSN 0100-3437.

Approaching clinic intervention to patients coming from long period in psychiatric hospitals places psychoanalysts, during their daily practice, before constantly challenging issues. Accepting these challenges means trying to situate the psychoanalitic clinic beyond the borders and contexts traditionally established. This article approachs the contribution and insertion of psychoanalysis in the reorganization of public policy, particularly in the subject of psychiatric reform. It consists on a testimony about the construction of clinic intervention in the transition process from the hospital therapeutic residences, as well of the repercussion in clinics of these patients. The transference of the patient relating to the technical team was important as a guiding device to the process.
