Abstract

FINGERMANN, Dominique. What does talk mean?. Ide (São Paulo) [online]. 2007, vol.30, n.45, pp.24-27. ISSN 0101-3106.

Freud invented psychoanalysis as a clinical experience (talking cure) and as a theory when he discovered the power of the speech. His complete works investigates scientific foundations and clinic consequences of this “magic power”. Lacan went forward exploring speech function in the language field explaining how language structures the subject around a lack of sense. Speech lures this structural missing link producing boundaries to produce human singularity and the meaning of being. Psychoanalysis treatment depends on the handling of this logic structure by the analyst.

Keywords : Free association; Structure; Talk; Language; Psychoanalysis.
