Abstract

WERLE, Marco Aurélio. Hölderlin: intuition and intimacy. Ide (São Paulo) [online]. 2011, vol.34, n.53, pp.201-217. ISSN 0101-3106.

We examine in this paper the dialectical character of the work of Hölderlin, which operates with a series of oppositions: between the being and consciousness (judgment), the gods and men, theantiquity andmodernity, the whole and part, the reason and sensitivity, the nature and art, the childhood and old age, Spring and Winter, etc.In the transition between poetry and philosophy, these topics are located in terms of the difference and unity, as a process of intuition and intimacy.

Keywords : Dialectics; Poetry; Philosophy; German idealism; Aesthetics.
