Abstract

OLIVEIRA, Alda R. D. de. The unthinkable anguish of freedom. Ide (São Paulo) [online]. 2019, vol.41, n.67-68, pp.65-76. ISSN 0101-3106.

Among human concerns, the equation of freedom versus safety defies all lifelong relationships. The capacity of symbolization is required to create possible artifices in aid of extreme states, seeking for dynamic balance, which is always threatened on both sides. In this juggling abides this article, where the author intends to compare the lives of two characters that merge into one in the territory of the soul, intertwining with the ideas of Winnicott, Bollas, Quinodoz and Roussillon. It searches in the literature of Kundera, a Tereza that illuminates the real life of another Teresa in the office, in an effort to transform her fate into destiny.

Keywords : Freedom; Destiny; Separation anguish; Symbolization.
