Abstract

MINERBO, Marion. Corruption, power and madness: a transferential field. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2012, vol.46, n.1, pp.162-169. ISSN 0486-641X.

Corruption practiced by someone who fears no one and nothing may be seen as a symptom of madness - in the sense of hybris - related to excessive power, but determined by a particular transferential field. In this field, the complementary identifications of "powerful" and "intimidated" intensify each other, until the transferential field constituted by the child-in-the-adult of both will eventually drive them mad. The first one will feel that he can do as he pleases. The second, intimidated, subservient and impacted, does not give himself the authority to make clear to the first the limits to his omnipotence.

Keywords : corruption; power; madness; transferential field; social pact.
