Abstract
MORAIS, Jamile Luz and SOUZA, Airle Miranda. On the meanings attributed by newly assigned resident in Multidisciplinary Residency in Health. Rev. SBPH [online]. 2016, vol.19, n.2, pp.129-144. ISSN 1516-0858.
The objective is to understand the meanings attributed by recently admitted residents in the Multidisciplinary Residency, identifying gains and losses resulting from this integration, considering that the entry into a program of this order appears as a significant event, giving rise to new experiences. Participants were eight multidisciplinary residents of both sexes enrolled in the program, regardless of their academic background and area of expertise (Oncology and Health of the elderly) and who joined the program in 2011. As an instrument, was elected a questionnaire for a semi-structured interview, consisting of two parts: the first containing the socio-demographic data; the second, addressing the feelings and perceptions about their insertion in the program. The data were analyzed by frequency of responses, followed by content analysis. We conclude that the meaning of the residence focuses on the possibility of professional and personal qualification, since the gains in technical, institutional and relational expertise was a tripod that influenced the choice for this path after graduation.
