Abstract

HUERTAS HERNANDEZ, Olga Lucía  and  VILLEGAS URIBE, Carlos Alberto. The narrative as a possible method for understanding rural productive organizations. Univ. Psychol. [online]. 2007, vol.6, n.1, pp.163-172. ISSN 1657-9267.

This paper sets out the results of research conducted in a project that supported the process associated with farmers transforming their agricultural practices towards the use of the organic production. The proposal was approached from a narrative perspective developed by Ruiz Soto (1996), who applied some approaches of Ricoeur, Heidegger and Schapp. The results are shown through a full stories, which forms part of the research reports that were produced. The conclusions show that in addition to work with narratives, other possible methods can be recognized (such as implications of stories) in the organizational experience of the group of farmers and in the forms of relationship of different project participants.

Keywords : Organizational psychology; Narratives; Farmers; Organic agriculture.
