Abstract

The antisocial behaviors and psychopathy traces still represent a true challenge for the Forensic Psychology and Psychiatry. They are mobilized in the search for evidences which validate different assessment procedures. The goal of this article is to introduce, through a theoretical review, the basic features of the Antisocial Personality Disorder and Psychopathy, focusing on their implications in the forensic psychological assessment range, prioritizing the Brazilian reality. An increasing use of projective resources, associated to standardized psychometric instruments are being suggested to be used as psychodiagnostic assessment of these personalities, demanding distinct measures and techniques from clinical research.
