Abstract

MOTTA, Leda Tenório da. The "other's" voice in literature: Proust. Psicol. USP [online]. 1994, vol.5, n.1-2, pp.61-72. ISSN 1678-5177.

In Proust's A La Recherche du Temps Perdu there is only one voice: the narrator's. All the characters in the romance lie because language displaces us. Meaning arises from detours of the discourse: lapses. This problem is the main theme of the paper.

Keywords : Literature; Language; Literary criticism; Lie; Proust, Marcel; 1871-1922.
