The paper discusses the communication process between therapist and client along the stages of Person-centered Approach from a literature review point of view, inspired by the philosophical hermeneutics proposal of Gadamer. There are four stages: nondirective, reflexive, experiential and collective. Along this path, modifications have been noticed: it goes from a unidirectional flux centered on the client to a bilateral communication with a higher expression of the therapist, although the expressions of the therapist are restricted to those which are effective to the client's process. In the experiential stage arises a comprehension about a two-way communication, a double movement of expression and listening, that lead to greater listening of himself and of the other simultaneously, taking up a more equitable flux. In the last period, can be found a transcendental communication, which appears in the altered states of consciousness.
