Abstract

GERALDINI, Janaína Rodrigues. The formation of psychology through archaeological analysis. Gerais, Rev. Interinst. Psicol. [online]. 2012, vol.5, n.2, pp.197-207. ISSN 1983-8220.

The proposal of this article is to reflect on the multiple formation of psychology in the sphere of knowledge, through the work the order of things by the philosopher Michel Foucault. Bringing with it some characteristics of the archaeological approach such as a historical model of investigation developed by the author, this philosophical journey begins in the 16th century, passing through the 17th and 18th centuries, and finally reaching modernity - the stage of the birth of human sciences. Psychology emerges as a discipline influenced by the epistemological and methodological bases of modern science, highly influenced by the philosophical discussions of the period. In this context, it is possible to understand the diversity of concepts, methods and objects that constitute psychology, questioning same as a historical construction.

Keywords : Psychology; History; Archaeological Analysis.
