Abstract

FLORENTINO, Bruno Ricardo Bérgamo  and  MELO, Walter. The insertion of the psychologist in the social assistance system: introductory notes. Gerais, Rev. Interinst. Psicol. [online]. 2017, vol.10, n.1, pp.3-12. ISSN 1983-8220.

Deploying Unified Social Assistance, as well as representing a new strategy in the provision of social assistance services, based on the paradigm of rights, is presented as a perspective from leaving welfare and entering the professionalization of this policy. Given the above, this article will discuss the inclusion of psychology in this context, noting the main considerations that involve reference teams that offer the social assistance services, to highlight above all the possibilities and challenges for the psychologist. From a literature review, using the descriptive method, the results indicate that the inclusion of psychology in ITS is a great possibility for the realization of this policy, however, for such professionals will face some challenges inherent to constitution of social assistance and the profession.

Keywords : Attitudes; violence in schools; adolescents; scale; validity.
