Abstract

BRITO, Wallace da Costa  and  CANAVEZ, Fernanda. Modes of Subjectivation and Contemporaneity: a Reflection on Memory. Gerais, Rev. Interinst. Psicol. [online]. 2020, vol.13, n.3, pp.1-24. ISSN 1983-8220.  https://doi.org/10.36298/gerais202013e15382.

The article aims to examine the memory in the light of the discontinuities observed in contemporaneity. Of a theoretical-conceptual nature, it starts from the dialogue with scholars of different fields of knowledge, typifying it as multidisciplinary. In contemporary culture, the modes of subjectivation occur under the influence of the alleged disregard for the past, as also suffer the impact of the artificiality with which it deals with the alternation between remembering and forgetting. In twentieth century, the social acceleration of time grows - a process that has been driven in its last decades and is now amplified. Under this paradigm, ancestral conformations for which memory works are neglected, with digital technologies causing considerable changes in the configuration, activity and understanding of memory. Modes of subjectivation contemporary have in memory a question of significant value in favor of the reinvention of self and singularity.

Keywords : Memory; Subjectivity; Contemporary Culture; Time.
