Abstract

FRENZEL, Heloiza de Sousa  and  BARDAGI, Marucia Patta. Brazilian adolescent workers: a brief bibliometric study. Rev. Psicol., Organ. Trab. [online]. 2014, vol.14, n.1, pp.79-88. ISSN 1984-6657.

There are an increasing number of adolescent workers in the country; however there are few articles that attempt to identify their perceptions of the work experience. This study conducted a survey of Brazilian literature, considering studies with adolescent workers, published in the last 10 years. The prevalent sub-themes found in the analyzed texts were the relationship between work and health, perception and assessment of the meaning of work, and the relationship between work and study, in 16, 14, and 5 articles respectively. Psychology was the area with the largest number of articles published, followed by interdisciplinary work in the Health area, with 23 and 15 articles respectively. We found that few studies aim to understand the adolescent-work relationship from the adolescent worker's perspective. We conclude that there is a need to expand the studies on the subject, especially in terms of geographical diversity of participants and considering the different types of work during adolescence.

Keywords : Adolescents; work; students.
