Abstract

CYSNE, Juliana de Brito  and  FROTA, Ana Maria Monte Coelho. Weaving threads of Childhood with the Philosophy of education, the Gestalt-therapy and the poetry of Manoel de Barros. Rev. NUFEN [online]. 2017, vol.9, n.3, pp.38-56. ISSN 2175-2591.  https://doi.org/10.26823/RevistadoNUFEN.vol09.n03artigo13.

In this paper, we seek to reflect on childhood through the intertwining of the visions of the Philosophy of Childhood, Gestalt therapy and the concept of childhood presented in the work of the poet Manoel de Barros. In contemporary times, the knowledge about childhood is largely based on an objectified view, capable of explaining it through controlled techniques. The Philosophy of Education conceives it as a time of the experience of being a child, surpassing the traditional vision of a phase that is exhausted in itself, constituting itself in a devir. Gestalt thinks of the child as a singular being, of relationship and in a continuous process of development. The poetry of Manoel de Barros shows us a childhood endowed with creativity, able to transform and (re) build reality. In this dialogue, we find a transgressing thought of the notion of childhood, which escapes normatization. We speak of an invitation to experience that is in conflict with the automatism of the present times, for the encounter with the becomingchild.

Keywords : Childhood; Philosophy of Childhood; Gestalt-theraphy; Manoel de Barros; Devir-child.
