Abstract

LEMOS, Cláudia Thereza Guimarães de. Freud's Moses and Lacan's Joyce. Trivium [online]. 2016, vol.8, n.1, pp.25-31. ISSN 2176-4891.  https://doi.org/10.18379/2176-4891.2016v1p.25.

It is known that Freud deconstructs the history of Moses and the advent of monotheism through the concept of historical truth, as opposed to material truth. The aim of this work is to put this deconstruction in relation to the way Lacan sees Joyce's writing, apparently destined to equivocity, as an expedient to obstruct historical event as an event or the history of historians as a possibility.

Keywords : HISTORICAL TRUTH; MATERIAL TRUTH; MONOTHEISM; CONSTRUCTION.
