Psychologists' incoming in Public Health was stimulated since the Brazilian Health Reform. However, psychology formation privileges a traditional clinical model which does not consider this practice's specificities. Such context justifies the present research, which aimed to map psychologists' practice in Municipal Polyclinics from Recife City. Used Methodology based on a qualitative phenomenological focus. Data were collected through narratives and interpreted using Giorgi method proposal. Conclusions point to a need to develop an ethical-political clinical attitude, linked to the population's historical, cultural and socio-economical dimensions. It also sign the need to rethink psychologists' academic formation, privileging modalities of psychological practices that can answer to users' suffering in articulation with social aspects.
