Abstract

HAYASIDA, Nazaré Maria de Albuquerque  and  CARVALHO, Gustavo Paiva de. What leads us into doing what we do?: Experience reports in Supervised Trainings. Psicol. Ensino & Form. [online]. 2017, vol.8, n.2, pp.35-44. ISSN 2177-2061.  https://doi.org/10.21826/2179-58002017813544.

This article explains the experience of the curricular internship and also the training of future psychologists based on the activities carried out in two Psychology Department laboratories of the  Federal University of Amazonas (Laboratory of Research in Cognitive Sciences – LABICC and Laboratory of Experimental Psychology, Neuroscience and Behavior – LAPENEC). The supervision practices adopted are described, being related to two possibilities of action and intervention: clinical-hospital care and psychosocial care. The formative actions carried out in the contexts of the internships help to understand the subject, the context and the issues. The supervison also aims at developing the skills and competencies required for professional practice in Psychology. Besides theoretical and technical improvement activities , both laboratories work on experiential actions that foster the trainee’s personal growth considering the moment of their lives and the demands that arise along the practice.

Keywords : curricular internship program; psychologist education; clinical care; psychosocial care.
