Abstract

HELSINGER, Natasha Mello. The programming of post-organic man: what risks are outlined in the role of finitude?. Tempo psicanal. [online]. 2015, vol.47, n.1, pp.43-58. ISSN 0101-4838.

This article aims to discuss the hypothesis that: promises of longevity and immortality (Birman, 2012), the mercantilization of risks (Beck, 1986), the efficacy programmation by technical objects (Castel, 1987) and the wish to forge the post-organic man by the transcendence of the human condition (Sibilia, 2002) put in question the finitude, therefore, the figure of the modern human. This reflexion is an important key to comprehend the psychoanalysis post-modern crisis, according as the modern subject was entered in the analytic of finitude by the Freudian discourse (Birman, 2010).
