Abstract

In this article we analyse the possibility of studying consciousness and the related brain structures, considering the data from patients with awareness deficits. We describe a clinical syndrome in which the patient loses the knowledge of his/her physical and/or cognitive state, called anosognosia. The article emphasises the description of this important syndrome in Alzheimer's Disease.
