Abstract

DEAN-GOMES, Gustavo. Analytical listening as a recognition experience. Perspectives of Sandor Ferenczi and Jessica Benjamin. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2019, vol.53, n.3, pp.42-57. ISSN 0486-641X.

This article aims at demonstrating how the idea of "denial", as described by Sándor Ferenczi's trauma theory, would help us to reflect on the dissociation between "word" and "truth" and their psychopathological reflexes. It also intends to study how a series of clinical proposals presented by him, brought together in the idea of "recognition" as theorized by Jessica Benjamin, would enable a psychoanalytical clinical practice that would have as one of its objectives to reestablish this correlation, allowing a more integrated experience of the Self.

Keywords : Ferenczi; Benjamin; trauma; denial; recognition.
